Result: Major Victory for Skaven

Summary

Along a narrow inlet on the shores of the Silver Sea, a river flowed inland. The Stormcast Eternals under the commander of Veritius had chosen this choke point to make their stand and halt the forces of Chaos. It was not long until the Stormcast scouts saw the oncoming Skaven horde, scurrying through the grass, columns of Clanrats and Stormfiends advanced on the gilded defenders. At the head of their column was a horrific rat-daemon, a Warbringer of the Horned Rat – this was no mere scouting force this was a full-scale invasion and the Stormcast gritted themselves to halt it with their bodies.

         The first Skaven rushed the Stormcast lines and for a while, it seemed as though they were going to hold. Silver hammer smashed against fur bodies, each one able to fell a dozen of the ratkin before returning to Azyr. However when the Warbringer Fzzechitkit strode through its underlings and brought its enormous glaive to bear – strikes of Azyrite lightning smashed into the ground where dozens of Stormcast stood.

         The battle raged and the Warbringer looked to overwhelm the beleaguered Sigmarites until a solitary cry pierced the clamour as Veritius took up his blade and charged towards Fzzechitkit. Lightning sheathed his arms and legs as each step seem to rise into the air as he leapt and forced his blade through the daemon’s skull. Fzzechitkit let out a realm-shattering hiss as his form dissolved back into the ether. Verititius fell to the ground raising his battered arms as a trio of Stormfiends emerged from the ground their file warpstone-infused weapons opening up. As Veritius ascended back to the Realm of Heavens the last of his men joined him and the Skaven continued their advance along the Silver Sea. They had at least banished the daemon for a time…
