Result: Major Victory for Fyreslayers

Summary

The smell wafted down Razorwing Pass before any sight was made of the advancing army. A putrid, rotten, sweet smell filled with acrid notes filled the noses of the assembled Fyreslayer lodge. Newly crowned Runefather Brinlock looked to his brothers and gestured for them to prepare for battle – something vile was hiding in the pass and they must be ready for it, or their oath of vengeance would be fulfilled with their own blood.

         Leading the herd up in the mountain slopes Clawhex the Pestiferous guided his gigantic beasts towards where he knew the Duardin would be marching. The host of twisted Ogors and their creatures was so changed from their feast of Goblins, Sylvanaeth and worshipers of Nurgle that they hardly resembled devotees of the Great Maw at all. Their bloated bodies were covered in strange growths, and they shambled rather than strode – their fearsome appearance was still backup by the full power of destruction.

         When the Fyreslayers found the outlying forces of Clawhex they sang their battle cries and prepared to charge, rushing up the hill blinded by their desire for the wrongs done to their lodge. But it was not a few scattered corrupted Ogors they were fighting and as the Fyreslayers committed to the charge Clawhex revealed his plans. Canon and Leadbelchers spewed metal into the choke point of the pass. Dozens of Fyreslayers were slain and despite their courage in slaughtering many of the twisted Ogors, it was quickly apparent that they would not take the day. With solemn vow Brindok prepared his fellow Duardin for the fulfilment of their oath – they would die to a Duardin and vengeance would be satisfied. Once the black powder smoke cleared Clawhex smiled at a good day's butchery and prepared his host to continue to Nulbaruk.
