Result: Major Victory
for Fyreslayers
Summary
Sniffing the frigid air of Razorwing pass, Frostlord Koff Rimemane gestures to the gathering Huskards and other Ogors and points down the valley towards the approaching forces. Marching proudly into the pass, their bright orange beards and gleaming Ur-Gold, the Fyreslayers of Kimbur Lodge advanced, and as they reached the midway point of the pass, the Beastclaw ambush was sprung.
Packs of Mournfang raced down the mountain slopes smashing into the unprepared ranks of Hearthguard and Berzerkers. Many of the Duardin were cut down before being able to raise their weapons, but Fyreslayers are made of sterner stuff than
most. They held against the Ogors' initial charge cutting down several, and could not hold back the thunderous might of Koff on his Stonehorn, and the great beast smashed through the Hearthguard straight to Forgefather Almnok-Grimnir and smashed him to the ground.
Seeing his father slain the young Forgeson, Brinlok picked up his axe and slew the Stonehorn carrying Koff; as he got to his feet, another axe smashed down on his crown, killing the Frostlord. Victory, however, was short-lived as the assembled huskards of the Alfrostun charged in, first crushing Brinlok to the ground and then his Battlesmith. Eventually, the surviving Duardin Hearthguard could slay the remaining beasts and scatter the Ogors from the path – but at such a cost to Kimbur Lodge, its future hangs in the balance.
