Why is dave wasting a whole 20 man tac + chalpain all game at a 1/3 chance of getting to shoot some heavy weapons?

Isstvan III was the worst betrayal in the history of the Imperium. Let's be honest: the legions betraying one another was like step brothers, or members of the same fraternity betraying each other. But killing members of your own legion is like killing your identical twin. Sickening.

amazing armies! Nice job

Ever since I learned that GW was bringing out 30k miniatures, my interest was extremely limited, but finally I feel like I have a reason to get excited about them. The rules seem like a lot of fun and the campaigns you guys do make them a lot more interesting and entertaining to watch. Going back to historical battles that I've only ever read about in books is also an awesome, awesome idea that really makes me want to follow this campaign.

grandfalloons (Over a year ago): - delete
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, he said the traitors "win" on Isstvan 3

dummenumse (Over a year ago): - delete
Where are these 30k rules and army lists? In betrayal at calth box?

Kovlovsky (Over a year ago): - delete
That's awesome to see some HH games going and with a narrative side! Oh and Lee + Dave inside a batrep = a huge load of goodness. Unfortunately, Chaos didn't win, but I'm very happy. Ah and these Emperor's Children are so beautiful!

However, I saw a mistake at 1:01:22. The Accelerator Autocannon on the Sicaran is rending. Lee got two 6s, so you would have to roll two cover saves instead.

Love the bat rep...great quality and great looking forces.

I did notice something odd: the Sons of Horus charged the EC rhino late in the game. The embarked marines in the Rhino fired overwatch. The Rhino isn't open top so they shouldn't be able to fire overwatch.

pdavis9923 (Over a year ago): - delete
Dave, don't forget your legion tactics. The Sons of Horus get extra attacks when they outnumber the enemy in close combat.

ChazSexington (Over a year ago): - delete
I doubt it's pronounced "Ist-a-vahn." New official GW spelling is Isstvan III btw.

It was way less than half of the numbers in each of the traitor legions that stayed loyal. However, it was enough to slow Horus down enough, and cause enough of a problem that Horus needed to wait around to "cleanse" them. Angron didn't help either.

When a Master of Signal uses his bombardment, it is considered as firing a weapon. Therefore he cannot use the Cognis Singum in the same shooting phase, as the Cognis Signum can only be used if the model doesn't shoot. He also doesn't have split fire so he wouldn't be able to fire at a different target than the tacticals.

Also, you state the Contemptor hits on a 3+. All dreadnoughts in the legion list has BS 5.

ColonialRaptor (Over a year ago): - delete
Look at how popular this is!!! Awesome stuff guys!

I love the work you guys do but I'm going to make one small request. In between rounds/turns when you do the special clear shots with the enhanced colors, can you do a longer steady shot of the whole board? With all the close in shots you do of individual units (which are great) it is easy to lose track of what is tactically happening on the greater board. I think a little extra attention to with some zoomed out steady shots would really help. Thanks, keep up the good work.

I am so excited to finally see these poping up, I think 30k is way more fun and balanced than 40k. I would not have become a vault member were it not for the 30k bat reps. Im so excited to see these, models look great and I had just as much fun watching as I would have playing keep up the good work!!!

Dang, I was excited to see your whole Sons of Horus army, but frankly they don't appear to be up to the quality I'd expect from WMG. No shading or highlights?

Hey Matt, the Loyalist factions of the First four Traitor Legions were all Terran born Marines, while the rest were born on the respective home worlds of the Traitors. Even the forces Lost on Calth of the WordBearers were a faction that Lorgar didn't trust.
I find it interesting that no such divisions seem to exist for the Iron Warriors, Night Lords, Alpha Legion nor the Thousand Sons.
