Your incorrect.

Items are not one per army,its one per Character.

And how to get a 3 inv save if in the new rules.

Seeing Steve playing Thousand Sons is a dream coming true for an old TS player like myself (started in 2001)! I hope that I will see them on the board more often! I'm glad to see Ben again too! And dat moment when the Defiler was blown up from the overwatch of a single plasma gun was hilarious! Hahaha!

There is a mistake though. Steve, as much as I hate it, since TS have to take the Mark of Tzeentch on all models who can, you are forced to generate at least one power on the Tzeentch table on all psykers including daemon princes because of the CSM rules about marks of chaos. Because of the chaos psychic focus, you also always get the primaris (Tzeentch Firestorm). That means that your level 3 psykers would be only able to roll on 2 powers on other disciplines and the Scarab Occult Sorcer only one power on something else that Tzeentch. This is probably the thing I most ardently want GW to remove in the next codex, but right now we have to deal with it. It's not that the Tzeentch discipline is bad since it has been improved a lot, but it limits our flexibility which is stupid for the most powerful psykers in the galaxy. And Boon of Mutation sucks. It has to be said.

But there is nothing in the spell familiar entry thats says its one use per phase.

@MandaloreM In a Thousand Sons army, units affected by a blessing gain +1 to their invulnerable save. Also, he had one relic by character which is absolutely allowed. The daemon prince had the Burning Brand of Skalathrax, the Exalted Sorcerer had the Seer's Bane and the Sorcerer had the Astral Grimoire. It's one relic by character, not one by army.

Glad to see you playing 1000 Sons Steve. very few rules errors for your first time with the army!

The only things I noticed were:

Chaotic focus.

Terminators (and IC attached to) cannot sweeping advance.

I think you may have used your Deamon Princes spell familiar re-roll twice in the first psykic phase.

Props to you and Ben for a fun & well played game.

Steve, unless the new Thousand Sons got a rules change or something, every psyker is by default mark of tzeentch, and therefore must roll at least 1 power on the Change discipline.

Hey Steve, Cool batrep but here are a few things i believe you missed.
The grand coven detachment doesn't allow you to know an extra power but instead manifest an extra one. I believe this is done so you can still trigger Tzeentch' blessing with force or provide more offense with the firestorm.

also at 33:18 you missed a hellfyre shot on a 1 result, Th war cabal says that when a psyker casts a blessing, he and the unit he joined can re roll to hit rolls of one.

Unless I missed something the Daemon Prince only has 4 wounds so should have been down to 1 wound at the end of the game. In the end it didn't matter since it ended but for future reference 4 wounds not 5

@50 min when attacking with the scarab occult sorcerer wouldn't he or one of his unit need to be in base contact with the wulfen to put his attacks on him. I may be wrong multiple units in a combat gets confusing sometimes

@NerazimZerin Scarab Occult Terminators aren't Slow and Purposeful, but they are still considered as having normal terminator armors and terminators cannot make sweeping advances.

The confusion arises because they visually look like 30k Tartarus Terminators which are allowed to do sweeping advances, but this is purely for Horus Heresy. The 40k Scarab Occult don't have this exception and behave exactly like any kind of terminator.

Terminators have 5+ improved to a 4 for Mark of Tzeentch and then down to 3 for being in a thousand sons detachment with veterans of the long war and under the influence of a blessing.
