Deployments are rolled for not chosen. The last player determines the deployment by rolling then chooses which side.(pg126)%uFEFF

hey matt, at the 37-38 min when you used the drill. you could have used the command reroll to have it go through and the starweaver would have died.

I prefer power over points personally. It feels more fluid and while slightly less balanced I like the idea of being able to pick a theme unconstrained by how much wargear costs.

Hey matt things you didn't get wrong, but stuff that seems kind of important tacticly that you might have over looked?

You can use command points to reroll you ambush to give you a better shot of good rolls.

Also cult banners for each unit i believe are free, and allow you to reroll 1's... and your rolls this game... i think it would have helped haha.

Love you guys!!

I know you don't want repeat comments, but Rook205's comment has been on nearly every battle report (in some form or another) since it came out. Dunno if it's just that these were filmed before reviewing comments, but: you do NOT choose a deployment map, you determine it with a dice roll per page 126.

Still great content though!

pg 216 states "When in playing matched play missions, you must randomly select one of these deployment maps. To do so, one of the players simply rolls a D6

vitacco (8 weeks ago): - delete
match games you have to roll for deployment. i think, not 100% sure. its on the page you showed on the camera upper left corner.

heikki (8 weeks ago): - delete
Matt, mortal wounds spill over, you could've kept rolling with those cutters

Matthew, I don't like how you threaten your employees. You are being a naughty boy!

@41:16ish:
Quirk did not Attack with the Solitaire the made the Glorius Intervention.

WGamer742 (9 weeks ago): - delete
In the rules it is written that: "Overwatch is resolved like a normal shooting attack and uses all the normal rules except that a 6 is always required for a successful hit roll, etc."
Question: Can a unit fire Overwatch at an enemy Character that declared a Charge against that unit, if there is another enemy unit that is closer to the unit firing Overwatch(but not within 1" of that unit) then the Character that declared a Charge?

I might be wrong about this, but at 47:15...I thought that Rugged construction or whatever its called would be used on the to wound roll, and not for the damge the wound does. As you are rolling it you do say that it ignores wounds on 6+.. not damage.

Scything Talons are 0 points i believe and in PR they are free as well. I have actually found that for my armies the PR is more limiting then points.

One question, acolytes can take a cult icon for re-rolling ones. There is no cost listing for them that I could see though so are they free? or does the omission mean you cant use that in a point list?

Maverick1605 (9 weeks ago): - delete
As the description says this is a matched play game, I am surprised that you aren't using the matched play rule on pg 216 of the BRB that says you randomly determine deployment map for matched play.

The extra attack from Cultist Knifes have to be made with the knife, you can't use the Rending Claws for it.

I honestly don't think Acolytes are that good this edition unless you run them with the special weapons, I think I'd rather use Metamorphs without upgrades for weight of attacks now.

I understand the reason to play with power level, but these battreps are mostly watched by players with at least a competitive edge I'd say. Fun yes, but it needs to be fair are equal otherwise it's just not fun to watch.

I've played 99 power Tau vs 100 power Eldar. Points wise this appeared to be 2438pts of tau vs 2004 pts of eldar. So eldar was more power, but 25% less points.. that is so far off that playing the game even for fun, wasn't really fun because of the unbalance.

1:15 you had 10 or more genestealers in the unit - so had 4 attacks each.
