@ 11:15 How did the 2 squads in the drop pod end up so far away from it? Units arriving via drop pod aren't allowed to move after disembarking their 3".

Yes being at the END of the movement phase. They also must be 9" away from any enemy model even with their 3" desembarking move.

Hey, it's Geoff, the Space Marines player. That was my mistake, sorry. I was treating the drop pods like regular transports and gave them a 3" move out of transport and then their usual 6" move. I didn't know they could not move after disembarking from a vehicle in deep strike. We did, however, make sure to keep them 9" away once they disembarked.

No worries, the rules are really convoluted when it comes to reserves. It was still a great batrep

Quite glad to see how that ended. Totally called that wrong. Fantastic Batrep fellas, really show cased some of the good stuff about new death guard.

Pretty exciting batrep! I like the unit comps, the deployment, and board. Overall, one of my favorite batreps.

This is Geoff, the "Salamanders" player. I had a great time playing! Thanks again MWG and a big shout out to Luka. Fun to play with you man. There were some wonky rolls but it still felt like a balanced game until the end. I will be back!

If you shoot your special/heavy weapon first, you can use the reroll for your normal guns if you dont need it. You missed a couple of reroll chances by doing it the other way around.

Pretty sure range and line of sight still comes into play when overwatching doesn't it?

Can't toss a grenade in overwatch if they are out of range for the grenade. That's why assaulting against units with flamers outside of 8 prevents flamers from overwatching.

Forgot to take the normal saves from the sniper rifle 6up wound rolls

Luca needs to step up his game... Not using an invulnerable save on the bloat drones was simply painful. I understand not remembering abilities or complex rules but forgetting your save is just not on IMO.

Man. The "Salamanders" guy, Geoff, was rolling SUPER hot. Had a decent balance to his list too. I felt like the Death Guard have a fair toughness going for them on this list, but that's about it. They get into combat and stay, but don't seem to hit back as hard. Maybe it was Luca's rolling....but great game guys.

You can't do a nine man squad of anything Nurgle, Papa doesn't approve!

It's a part of the game bro. Take it from a Blood Angels player who always like the chance to strike first - sometimes you just have to play the hand you're dealt.
