This spiralling peak can only be found through a single archway in the surrounding mountains. And the surrounding mountains keep the Feral Spire in perpetual shadow. Winding up its twisting flanks is a challenge as creatures furred with shadow pounce from unseen directions. If the traveller gets further up the peak, then the darkness intensifies as the animals transform into entities of pure shadow.

At the very height of the Feral Spire, there is a plume of thick smoke. Not volcanic or industrial but simply a cloud of darkness swirling around the highest point. Shadows in the cloud appear as birds or large cats, but if a traveller can hold their cool, then they will find that the cloud dissipates and the creatures within do not claim their prize. And as the cloud clears, they find themselves in the shadowed realm of Ulgu.


Rules

Twisting Shadows — At the beginning of your hero phase select a friendly unit and roll a d6. On a 2+ remove that unit and deploy it anywhere on the table more than 9" from enemy units. On a 6+ it must be placed more than 6" away instead. It cannot move in the subsequent Movement phase (even if it was not moved). Realmgate {g}{b} Leads to Mirage Haven in the Realm of Ulgu
