Deep within the Clawmark Forest in Ghur the boughs of ancient trees were at this point very accustomed to bloodshed, was now the home of a Stomp of Gargants. The Brothers Grind, four Megagargants who had settled within the forest – Thudd, Kronk, Blarg, and Smush. Their forest abode sat in the path of another fouler group of giants however, for coming from the now corrupted Talon’s Perch a group of Great Unclean Ones was mulching its way through the forest spreading pestilence as they went.
The gargants noticed their food was starting to rot long before they smelled the Nurgle daemons and quickly picked up their clubs and headed into the forest to smash the source of the sourness in their meats. The Great Unclean Ones made no secret of their path and were easy to track and swiftly battle ensued. Great club smashed against bloated blubber causing pustules to burst over the surrounding vegetation which hissed as if burning. The Great Daemons of Nurgle and their minions slashed back against the Gargants with rusted and infected blades, hundreds of cuts on the brothers trying to outdo one another and even managed to banish one of the swollen monsters back to the Realm of Chaos.
As the Gargants seemed to be getting the upper hand and the Daemons of Nurgle were beginning to lose their grip on reality, Old One Eye – the most ancient of the Great Unclean Ones saw their chance. The Gargants continued to smash their way but in the meantime, the largest Great Unclean One withdrew to corrupt other parts of the realm of Ghur. The Brothers, though reduced in number and heavily weakened would hold onto the Clawmark Forest and this stronghold remained in the hands of Destruction.
