Atop the Talon’s Perch, some horrific fusion of Ogor and Skaven had taken place. Ogors fused with Skaven warpstone technology, the Mawtribes pulling Ironblasters converted to fire sickly green bolts. None were sure which madman had created such a horrific synthesis but its power was too great. Gathered around the nesting sight of the fearsome Nurgle beast, Petunia, this warped Mawtribe has harvested whatever unnatural energies it could to strengthen itself. Under the command of the Verminlord Corruptor Esqualchmizz, the forces of Clan Pestilens had been sent to secure the eggs of Petunia from whatever vile Ogors had made it their encampment.
Hearing the dolorous humming of the Plague Monks as they made their way forward the Ogors readied their firing line bringing warp-infused Leadbelchers to the front. Ungadok the Tyrant ordered the first volley and dozens of advancing plague-infested Skaven fell to the ground. The second round of fire from the Ogors cast down one of the Plague Furnaces seriously damaging the Skaven’s morale – it looked as though the line would falter. Then striding through it all Esqualchmizz sliced through the Ogors' ranks. Laying low the Ogors' great Stonehorn beasts.
In the centre of the melee, Ungadok saw the other Plague Furnace and waded through the bloody melee for a worthy foe. In the ensuing melee both Tyrant and Furnace were ended, the enormous censor of the contraption crushing the mighty Skaven-Ogor hybrid into the dirt. All the while this brutal melee continued the Plague Catapults rained death upon the Ogors baiting out an over-zealous charge by a unit of Bulls holding the line. Leaving a cap for the Leadbelchers to be overwhelmed by the forces of Clan Pestilens. With the guns silenced the Skaven were able to take the day – but the cost had been great, and the Talon’s Perch was drenched in the blood of Skaven and Ogor alike. Secured by Chaos once more, but as the war for Nulbaruk continues surely only more horrific experiments will be unveiled in the pursuit of victory…
