First take a cardboard box that has the size you like and Cut square holes on three of the sides. And dont use a dull knife as you can see i did.
Optional: Cut of one side completly like i did.
Step 2, cut your baking paper or whatever you want to use(i used the paper my new shoes where wraped in). Cut the paper so it is big enough to cover the holes in the box.

Use your tacks to pin them to the box. I use tacks so i can remove or switch easy.

Next step is to fasten your white paper to the back of the box. Fasten it so that you the paper is curved on the middle. Here i used an A4 (210mm x 297mm), But i am gonna change that to a A3 (297 x 420) so im covering it all. Though this works fine for my small models.

There you are, a finished light box. I only had one light that was working at the moment i took the picture, but you should optimally have three lights, one from each side and one from the top.
WARNING: DONT USE LIGHTS THAT ARE HOT TO CLOSE! I suggest LED lights since they dont get as warm.
Here is a quick bonus tutorial.
To make sure you get light evenly on the model you should use a reflector, here is how to make one.
I used the lid to my shoebox, because it had a perfect sized edge.

Cut out one or two reflectors at the size that fit your box. Since i used my lid that had a natural bend on it, it could stand without any more work.
Depending on how much reflection you want, you can add plain paper, tin foil or whatever you have that has a reflective surface you like. I used some ordinary copy paper.

The box at work.

Thank you for reading and i hope you get some really nice pictures, here are some of mine, but be warned im a painter in training.
