Is it me or is nothing in focus through the whole vid?

Phosphex isnt OP at all Steve, it was just a consequence of your opponent not bringing transports and not spreading his models out adequately. Footslogging clumps are the natural prey of blast templates.

Your Iron Warrior army is fluffy and appropriately powerful, you should'nt change it

I don't think you should stop bringing medusas or mortars, because they are a very fluffy thing for iron warriors, but if you are bringing them, also bring some basilisks, vindicators, whirlwinds, rapiers and tarantulas with forward deployment (as they aren' as powerful as medusas and mortars)

How did the medusa fire two shells even though there was only one medusa left?

Tharax (Over a year ago): - delete
Keep bringing the mortars! If your up agenst IW you should expect a lot of blasts and not deploy in a blast shaped clump....
Nice battrep a bit sad on the "no focus" but still enjoyable

Is it just me or is this table VERY pre-heresy?

KIMPLE (Over a year ago): - delete
@Steve on turn 1 when you fired the phosphex rounds you could have rerolled the failed wounds because of the poisoned rule as the base str is higher than their toughness

Steve, you need a model with Master of the Legion to have a RoW!

Am I wrong or do phosphex lose the barrage rule? So that'd mean direct fire only, and no nuncio vox spotting?

the UM player really needs a spartan for those invictarii

Sadly this report was over about ten minutes in.

Before you stop bringing Phosphex (if you stop) you should at least try the nightmare that is the Ironfire Rite of War with as many mortars as you have to bring. Just, uh, make sure you have a lot of blast templates and counters to keep track of it all.

I don't think Phosphex is necessarily OP, it just comes down to whether or not the board has area terrain like forests or ruins to hide in during deployment and whether or not the opponent has transports. With the big infantry blobs in HH the latter doesn't always happen so it might be a good idea in future games to make sure both players have at least one or two decent area terrain cover saves in their deployment. I feel especially bad for Thomas because it seems like he dies to artillery in his deployment almost every game between MWG and Ash's GMG channel!

Ouch! The Phosphex were ridiculously nasty. Haha. I think I would have cried if I had been on the receving end of that. hahaha.

Great game, though, Both armies look fantastic and I think with more vehicles, the phoxphex can be managed. Not stopped, but managed a little.

I vote with ahzek ahriman, but emphasizing it: medusas OR mortars. Bring one or the other, but not both.

However, I don't think the phosphex was massively OP, you just had a perfectly clumped target for it. Just bad tactics on the part of the smurf player.

@swampmist1142
Arg! my mistake wasnt think about that. Tho dont think any of the Hammer of Olympia rules where used this game.

@Obyiscus if that happened, it was a brain fart.

Since most people are basing their army off of the Betrayal at Calath box set, bring more infantry and less artillery would balance it out a bit

Top-Bear1 (Over a year ago): - delete

@Myelin yep, unfortunately it's the second one of Steve's that's had this issue in the last week New camera's perhaps?

gladiator5198 (Over a year ago): - delete
Steve, to run a RoW you need a master of the legion. That is heresy basics

@abpbm - It looks entirely out of focus to me (at least how much I've seen so far...)
