But honestly, Matt's narrated videos are my favorites.

2 things, did the rampagers get to attack? Maybe I missed their rolls. Also, didn't the typhon have shred, therefor able to re-roll the double 1's against the tacticals?

Matt this battle was amazing!!! It really felt like a narrative! It was amazing in every way, great setup, great looking armies, amazing terrain, awesome opponent, it was all there!!

Although how did you manage to lose Vulkan?! Every battle I've ever fought he's always survived and mostly with more than 3 wounds left. He's a tank that just won't die

@dfaris1987 - It actually specifies that vehicles get the bonus as well, even though they don't have the Legion Astartes special rule.

@DVO - The super heavy was shaken. It was hit by a weapon that specified that if it gets a penetrating hit then that vehicle (even super heavy vehicles) can only snap fire. That's why it's so powerful.

@ross87 - No, Primarchs don't have FNP. They only have IWND.

@slovak - The two rhinos blew up at the same time, so the explosion would hit the other rhino, not the occupants. Although you could argue your way, the reason we agreed to that was because there is no set order of operations when two vehicles blow up from the same weapon.

@adrunkpirate - I don't think the Typhon has shred. I don't have my book with me here though.

Oh and BTW that WE infantry looks gorgeous!

Ludekk (Over a year ago): - delete
Yep, it was 3 loyalists (Iron Hands, Salamanders, Raven Guard) vs 4 original traitors (Sons of Horus, Emperor's Children, World Eaters and Death Guard), later joined by further 4 traitor legions (Word Bearers, Iron Warriors, Alpha Legion, Night Lords).

That chainfist Red Butcher! :o Awesomely fluffy

@Matt The typhon had shred from his warlord trait. Also in the first turn the bikes attempted to charge your tacticals but they had fired at the rhino. Unless the rule is different in 30k.
@jimmydadean I most certainly got it. Though he said it backwards on purpose I believe.

MysticJackal (Over a year ago): - delete
that was AWESOME. That's why I watch this shit.

DrFunkin (Over a year ago): - delete
47 minutes in, you could not overwatch the bikes, since you did Fury of the legion last round with that squad.

It was Rogal Dorn who dispatched the Raven Guard, Iron Hands, Salamanders, Word Bearers, Iron Warriors, NightLords. Alpha Legion and the Imperial Fists.

However, The imperial fists didn't make it (they got stranded at the Phall System).

Unpure (Over a year ago): - delete
nice paint job on the world eaters. though the dreadnoughts bent lascannon was hurting my OCD.

I know I already commented, but that was before I finished watching this batrep...

This game was epic. Guys, please do MOARRRRR HH!!
+1

AugustusbRaass (Over a year ago): - delete
Yay! More HH BatReps. And great ones too. Damn. I watched the other one first, and I was amazed how the Sallies won even after FOUR possible 1st turn charges by the WEs. Wow.

About the pronunciation of Istvaan. It's not "Ist-e-vann", there's no E in the middle of the name and the A is not short (hence the spelling with two A's). Basically it sounds like the A in the word pal.)

So Ist-vaan.

Like if you agree, dislike if you don't

Did NOBODY ELSE get the "if women don't find you handsome they should at least find you handy" reference? Because if not The Red Green Show was amazing and you need to get on that.

Vailfor (Over a year ago): - delete
when the firedrakes charged the red butchers on turn 2, the firedrakes should be hitting on 3s because of the red butchers special rule Ravening Madmen.

badgerbotherer (Over a year ago): - delete
Great opponent and great batrep. Need to get a better fonts though.

At about 32:35 Matt zooms in on Vulkan's charge and you see a World Eater with two swords. Made me think of the scenes from Batman and Indiana Jones where the guys go mental with their swords and are instantly nailed by the heroes! Nice work.

Top-Bear1 (Over a year ago): - delete
Awesome report guys, thanks for everything. Keep it up.

Death to false emprah! (Matt)

DVO (Over a year ago): - delete
Typhon is a super heavy ..you cannot stun it, shake it, or anything other than exploding it for an extra d3 hull points lost. Great report though. I am enjoying the content and am glad to be a vault member.

slovak (Over a year ago): - delete
Turn one, when the second Rhino blew up it was with a 6" radius and should have fragged the guys who had already bailed out of the first Rhino that blew up.

Also, why wouldn't the first squad Vulcan shot through with his pistol provide a 5+ cover save for the squad behind? As far as I know, intervening models always provide a cover save for infantry models.

dfaris1987 (Over a year ago): - delete
While it don't come into play here, in the pre-game show Matt mentioned that his Rhino's heavy flamers have S6 but the +1S on flame weapons only applies to Legion Astartes models (i.e. non-vehicles)

Good batrep guys, enjoyed it

ross87 (Over a year ago): - delete
Feel no pain on vulcan right? and did you roll for it will not die? and that roll is re-roll-able on vulcan

avolp (Over a year ago): - delete
I absolutely love the flames on the caestus ram. They're amazing.

Mrwonderland (Over a year ago): - delete
Matt, little bit of interesting fluff: Vulkan actually died on Istvaan when he was nuked by an Iron Warrior atomic weapon barrage. Of course he's perpetual, thus he regenerated and Konrad took his body.

Mrwonderland (Over a year ago): - delete
@CWDub

Only Ferrus and Angron have FnP.

They all have IWND however, which Vulkan can re-roll.

CWDub (Over a year ago): - delete
Primarchs have feel no pain, Matt!
