The Shadowtide Lake is a cursed place; instead of birdsong, all that can be heard is the wailing of nightmares unimagined by those who hear it. The lake was once the site of a battle between the last defenders of Order in the Age of Chaos against the madness that beset the realms. In the act of cruelty, however, the Tzeentian commander channelled the magic of Ulgu into their ranks. One by one, the soldiers fell into madness and despair, and their tears eventually became their prison. Now the lake reflects the cruelty done to those thousands outwards onto the world – truly, there are few more horrifying places in the realms.

Rules

Umbral Reflections — All units suffer a -1 to their Bravery characteristic. When making battleshock tests units must roll 2d6 and take the highest result. Daughters of Khaine and Slaanesh units ignore these rules.
