Khorne 1-legged Squat Challenge: 4 squats per leg = 8 Squats! JUST MOVE!!!
#pushupsfor40k
**disclaimer: I am NOT an fitness expert. Exercise wisdom when undergoing any physical movement. I'm simply a dude that likes to move. I invite and challenge you to MOVE with me.**
I started to develop a habit of moment exactly 1 year ago. I'm that time I've managed to lose 50 lbs which is 22.6 kgs. Here's the crazy part, the weigh loss was unintentional. I didn't diet folks! I just simply move! And because I move more, I spend less time sitting or being sedentary and I listen to my body. When I'm hungry I eat. When I think of moving I move. No exceptions. I do what I can in the moment. Even if it's 10 calf raises on the spot in the middle of a public setting.
KHORNE CARES NOT FROM WHENCE THE MOVEMENT FLOWS⦠SO LONG AS IT'S "COLLECTING SKULLS." We collect skulls by moving!
Secondary challenge: #pushupsfor40k
Do 40 push-ups / press-ups each day for February. We get enough wargamers on board and we'll collectively reach 40,000 push-ups. Don't wait, jump in, post yourself doing your push-ups. Use the hashtag #pushupsfor40k and also #fitfor40k. KHORNE DEMANDS SKULLS!!!
Massive chaotic shoutout to: @sparkhammer_minis @FitHammer @pohopaints40k for starting the pushup challenge!!!
More wargamers that MOVE!!! #fitfor40k

MOVE WITH US WARGAMERS!!! JUST MOVE!!! Obviously, ANY thing that's done is a victory here folks. Even if just a single push-up on toes instead of knees. OR if it's knees and a half extension. Ultimately, if you're MOVING it doesn't matter how you move (as long as it's safe) then YOU'RE MOVING and that is a victory by itself.
What would I suggest to get started? Get on your feet and pace as you're typing a response to my response. MOVE! Just move. As little or as much as you feel. Your body doesn't count reps or sets. Your mind might count them but your body doesn't. Think of the MOST FUN WAY TO MOVE for YOU. Some ideas that don't include going to a gym. These work for me cuz I move from home mostly:
If alone:
-Walking and listening to music
-walk your dog (if you have one)
-do curls while watching a show
-get on the floor and do some leg raises or crunches while watching a movie.
-do calf raises while standing and washing dishes.
There's so much incidental time that passes while we're performing other tasks. I used to have this thought stuck in my head that I had to go to a gym to simply move. Not so. I mostly move not at a gym. So yeah, if I'm standing while doing the dishes, I'm throwing in some calf raises in there. I don't count them nor do I remember how many I've done. I've let go of the illusion of the significance of the number of repetitions. For some it's needed and useful. For me? It doesn't stick. I've felt bad if I don't beat my previous number of reps or weight or duration of exercise etc etc etc blah blah blah nonsense. I just simply move. I Move. We move whether we see it or not. We are already moving like all the time. Capitalize on it by tweaking it a bit. This isn't an unreasonable ask. It isn't reinventing our lifestyle or constructing a complicated plan of action. For some, that can be overwhelming and stressful. For me, it has consistently proven to be. Working out and moving can be effortless and fun. There's sooooo many ways to move.
If on the phone:
-Pace. If at home, pace. This could equate to 10 min or even an hour sometimes depending on the length of your convo. Lots of incidental energy burned here. It adds up fast!
-Do squats. If you can't, do half squats. Some 5. Do 8 (Khorne wants it!)
-look in the mirror and FLEX! Yup. Might sound strange but the more we're aware of our body, what it looks like, what it feels like, the more comfortable we x become with it and the more we accept it in its current state. Bodies change⦠pretty much constantly. Trillions of cells die and are generated at mind-blowing rates. Our bodies change whether we're consciously aware of it or not.
By moving while on the phone I've found my mind is MORE ENGAGED and therefore I'm MORE CREATIVE, I listen more effectively, I remember more accurately, and ultimately I'm more focussed and present for the conversation.
So my question for you is: how do YOU, Jake, prefer to move?
