Materials List
-PVA glue (white glue)
-scorched brown paint
-fine sand

Step 1 Paint base
Begin by painting your base with scorched brown. I only find it necessary to paint the edge of the base but you can paint the whole thing if you’d like. Just in case you may miss some parts of the surface when you glue in future steps.

Step 2 cut random parts
In your bits box which contain sprues from previous figures, you’ll find lots of pieces of tyranid body parts. Let’s face it, if you’re basing the carnifex you’re bound to have some random tyranid part kicking around in your bits box. So just simply cut some random pieces off.

Step 3 apply PVA glue to the base

Apply glue to the base with a paint brush. I find it goes quickly if I squeeze the glue first then brush it around.

Step 4 place random parts on base
Next, place the tyranid parts on the base.

Now you have the go ahead to do whatever else you want with the base. Paint and dry brush any color scheme onto the tyranid parts. Add flock. Perhaps rocks.
