Just a little note before I get started - what follows is a fairly general painting technique, and is by no means specific to Necrons.

As you may know, a few weeks back I decided to strip the paint from my Necrons and repaint them. So far the new Paint Jobs are coming along great, but it left me with a certain problem… or opportunity. A Problatunity, if you will. You see, Necrons have these shiny transparent green rods, that never, ever, under any circumstances, get attached to the model prior to painting, lest their crystalline appearance be tainted and painted.

I now had 28 Warriors and 4 Destroyers, bearing no paint, and with Green Rods fully intact. Ultimately, I had to paint around them, and for the most part this was going quite well, with very few hiccups.

Hey Wargamers!

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted any Necron content, but I’ve got a few good articles coming up this week that should get things back on track! I got ambitious this past weekend, and started work on my first piece of Necron Terrain. I’d like to point out that this is the first piece of Terrain or Building that I’ve personally *ever* constructed, so there are some definite flaws and a little learning curve involved. If nothing else, I hope this inspires some others that are new to the hobby to attempt their own terrain pieces.

In this tutorial, we’ll go over how to strip paint from plastic Warhammer Miniatures safely (and affordably!)

After painting my Necron Warriors a base ’slightly rusted metal’ look, I realized that while they looked good, all that plain metal was very… monotonous. At this point, I set aside a small group of Warriors, and decided to start experimenting with colour schemes.

Apparently Baby Blue doesn’t strike fear into the hearts of mortal men. At this point I had a few options: 1. Paint over it, and chance obscuring some details with the paint buildup, or 2.
