Well, our first tournament was a great success, so we are going to hold another one next month!

Date: Saturday, July 19th, 2008
Time: 9:30am to 5pm (arrive at 9:30am to get set up and registered)
Gaming System: Warhammer 40K 4th Edition

Because there are a lot of people getting started out, we have tailored this tournament to smaller armies. In the future you can expect to need a 2,000 point army to compete in our tournaments, as that makes for much better games and battles.

Here is how it works.

You will need to bring:

1. $25 for the entry fee. This will cover pizza, pop, and the prize.

2. Your army, configured in the following:

-500 point army (required)
-1,000 point army (optional)
-2,000 point army (optional)

The 500 point army does not need to have an HQ (although it does follow the regular maximum allowance), but the 1,000 and 2,000 point armies must follow the normal minimums (i.e. 1 HQ, 2 Troops).

Please have your armies worked out BEFORE you arrive to save time. You should also know all the appropriate rules for your army so that each game can be quick and painless (or very painful if things go right…).

Please let me know if you are planning on attending so that I can get a rough idea of numbers for tables, terrain, food, etc. Let me know whether you plan on coming or not, or whether you are still thinking about it.

Extra points will be given for good sportsmanship, having your entire army painted, and for the best painted army. The overall winner will receive the prize (come to our club if you want to see what it is).
