Blood Angels: What to get?

Post by goldenspears » Sun Apr 11, 2010 7:07 am

I'm starting a Blood Angels army and I'm wondering what to get.
In this months battle report in White Dwarf (Issue 364) it's 2000 pts. and Matt Huston dosen't fit alot in. Therefore I'm wondering what to get.

I'm thinking of including...

The Sanguinor
Some Sanguinary Guard
Astorath the Grim
And some Black Legion

What else should I include???

I think by black legion you mean death company but back to your question. You should get dante, Tac squads, Assault squads and some Furioso dreadnoughts
Sergeant Major: "Any sign of the Chief?"
Third Marine: "Negative, sir. I think we lost him."
John-117: "Not yet."

You want chaos in a BA force? How odd...

Anyhow, assuming you mean death company, get some assault marines and maybe a tactical squad (in a landraider?)

One good thing with the new BA seems to be the Dreads, you can have alot of them and they are finally not gonna be bogged down by squads. I would grab a furioso or two with blood talons. Further, Commander Dante seems to be worth his salt.

i would say dante, assault squads atleast 1 tactical squad with a rhino, sanguinary guard for dante to fit into a good squad, furioso dreads with blood talons in drop pods, and baal preds... i say thats pretty solid.

i beg to differ i mean their front armor 13 they're going to be charging at you so i'd assume you'd be hitting front armor so you need the average 4+ to hurt it and as far as monserous creatures go their aren't many high initiative ones out there (mainly keeping nids in mind i'm prolly wrong tho) they're still pretty resilient on their own i dislike drop pods for them tho cause they're stuck where they land for a turn. i believe if your gonna run dreads you should prolly take a storm raven because the moving 12" and it being and assault vehicle theres a slight chance you could get yours in assault turn one or turn two depending how deployment ends up
