Yeah I gotta agree, that rear charge was illegal. You're in the flank, you have to charge the flank. If the bone giant is in the way, you're stuck at a couple guys in the corner there. Wouldn't have mattered that much - the skeletons only killed a couple, and the rank bonus still would have applied, but you don't get to wheel just because you hit the corner.

It seems to me, both players are lacking some understanding of the rules. Whether core or army book. That doom wheel, whilst not totally able to wipe a sphinx out...should do some serious damage with lightning. Yeah T8 is good...i think its T8...but a good lightning volley and it is down. Slave go boom also...

@Todda: I was thinking the same about the doom wheel. It should quite easily take the necrosphinx because the bolts inflict D6 wounds as well. Maybe those weren't on camera and he just rolled poorly for strenght?

I think you charged the big skeleton unit wrong Matt. As most of the unit was in the flank arc of the Clanrats the unit has to charge the flank. If you're charging multiple units into one unit, you declare all of the charges and then move all of them at the same time, allowwing as many models as possible to be in combat.

The Horse Archers vs Skavenslaves combat. If they were Skavenslaves, isn't it the case that if they run from combat, they flee automatically but do D3+ number of ranks in the unit hits on the enemy?

He is not doing that Doom Wheel right.

Your Skeleton unit was in the flank and must hit the flank... which would massively limit your attacks.

Slaves don't run.. they scatter and do damage.

The Doom Wheel gets D6+1 impact hits the first turn then D3 Impact hits on the other turns. It also unleashes the Warp Lightening in hand to hand... which is 3 auto hits at Strength rolled on an Artillery dice.
