Why not decrease the to hit rolls for suppression? It's not like they're really aiming, just spraying in hopes of hits. And what about heavy weapons? Say if a squad had a heavy machine gun? would that have any effect on suppression?

"If you enter or end in the AOE during your movement" Would force the argument that if your allready in it and move out you should still be hit because you began your movement phase "enterd in the AOE" Thuse you couldnt avoid being hit by just moving out. Which I wouldnt agree with

It's really interesting to see a game being born.

The purpose of suppression is to stop or prevent a target from observing, shooting or moving. The whole objective to suppression is to keep the squad from operating within the normal proceedures. My thought on the suppressive fire should only be to pin a squad where they are. If that squad decides to move through suppressive fire they should have a chance of being hit by the hailstorm. If they remain "in cover" then they are pinned and cant move or shoot roughly making that squad useless.

Logically speaking, why can they fire at an area further away, but if an opponent runs right in front of your nose, you can't hit them. Should be a cone rather than an aoe template if you ask me.

look up the warmachine cryx caster gaspy. He uses aoes a lot. Play against an opponent using gaspy, and you will learn how to use and counter suppressive fire.
