Matt, How do you feel about the new Codex D-weapons...I mean eldar? Do you see this as a terrible change to game meta? (massed SD, Better Bikes, Gargantuan Wraithknights for 300 points)

Do you think ALL future dexes will get buffed to this level or simply remain their same power level? What changes would you make to the game to compensate for the Newcrons/Eldar.?

In other news, if you could have any Monstrous creature in 40k as a domesticated pet what would you pick and why?

Hey Matt. which narrative campaign was the most fun, and which was the most successful from a business standpoint.

Hi greeting from England thanks for all the content you give us vault members. I really enjoy watching your batt reps and have learnt a lot from watching them I have just a quick request.
Lately I have seen you play against a verity of different armies witch is great. I just wish you would spend a bit if time at looking at some of the different models in the batt rep,as most of the time the models your opponents bring in look well painted and have some great conversions(I am thinking mainly of Cody Roos orks awesome) I personally would love to see them closer as we don't get to see a lot of the models they use normally(either we don't play against them or they are rare). Thanks for all you do vault member for life.waaaagh!!!!!

Hey Matt two questions and both are about Dave. First question does Dave have a power armor fetish CSM,SW,and BA all Power Armor based. Second it would be cool to see you and Matt play a game where he plays Nid's and you play CSM's.

Bring back "Rules you got wrong" series! I understand it takes a long time to do it, and I'm guessing you stopped doing to due to lack of view, but personally I love the videos, and this is the internet, MY OPINION SHOULD BE LAW!

Hey matt,

Since the necron codex came out it seems that GW is updating/releasing codex's with an emphasis on formations and detachments.

My question is simple: what army are you most excited to get this sort of update? I am looking forward to a detachment heavy update to the Astra Militarum.

Hi Matt hope you and the rest of the team are all well. The latest editions of 40k are as we know it are based on shooting, Of course there are some combat units that are good at combat (Thunderwolves with storm shields and thunder hammers) but I feel units such as the assassins or harlequins fall short in combat due to being frail. I was thinking along the lines of models that have a higher weapon skill to their opponent (ws7 to 3 etc) should hit on 2's. This would allow for the close combat characters that rely on killing their opponent first to at least have more of a chance for their attacks to hit. So my question is this, if you were GW what would you do to make combat more in line with shooting? (If you would change it at all? Vault member for life, James

Hey, Matt
I had a question about the armies of 40k, If a new, extremely powerful new threat emerged and attacked a planet, how do you think the space marines and xenos would react?

Hey Matt, my comment is on the Who Would Win Series. I do love the series, it's a great idea and it's fun to play. My only problem with the series is the lack of variety. Including the videos in the Vault, 43 out of the 60 videos have Chaos and then most of the rest have Blood Angels. I know Dave mostly runs it but a wider variety of models and factions would be cool to see. Thanks

Hey Matt
Really been enjoying recent videos, but I have a rule question i Believe has been gotten wrong regularly, particularly in recent batreps.
D weapons on Vehicles with a Solid Hit result is my concern. The MWG crew has been playing it as it was in 6th, with simply doing 1d3 hull points. However in 7th it is a Penetrating hit, that deals 1d3 hull points instead of 1, you must still roll on the penetration result table. This is particularly important when against other super heavys, since all? D weapons are ap 1 or 2 you can get an explodes result and do an additional d3 hull points, 2d3 in a single attack. Is there a reason this has been ignored or was it simply an oversight from the change from 6th to 7th with little D weapons used until recently

The 40k hobby seems to have a lot of older adults playing the game rather than young teenagers. Unlike video games or cartoons, I think GW designed this game in a way that one cannot grow out of w40k(with exceptions of course). With that in mind, can you imagine a group of 90 yr old guys at the retirement home playing warhammer 40k? I don't know about you but I'm looking forward to it.

You have in an earlier video talked about that you lacked some tokans to help you remember everything that happened in the game. I have found these from the "front linegaming" that I like.

Hi Matt.
Today is the one year anniversary of me being a vault member (1 year as of posting this comment) Yay!!! So my way of celebrating is by asking you a question. If GW were to make you the sole person in charge of the story and sluff of 40k what would you do with it? What Changes would you make and....*in hushed whispers* would you move the plot forward? Or would you keep it as it is?

pyroaboy (Over a year ago): - delete
for the Warzone Apothis campaign your running, could you use battle fleet Gothic to do any space battles that would most certainly happen within the sector. just wanted to ask.

Hi Matt, my question is.. forgetting any discussion on lists and what army is op or not, due you ever pull your punches? Example, you set-up to make a gaming winning move(early on) or you wipe out a large portion of your opponents army in turn 1 or 2, do you stop to think if you should or is all about the most tactical move you can make. The later is what I expect you do.... I've seen a fair few of your videos now. I don't think either is bad/wrong dependent on environment. Also, do you think pulling said punches in an effort to make the game more challenging/fun is OK to do? Thanks for the content, I enjoy it thoroughly. VTMCMO(Vaulter till my wife cuts me off) SILSIL

hi Matt
What are your thoughts on the way gamesworkshop is making rules more in tune with the fluff? Because to me it seems like they are using the fluff of armies to try and justify a steep power escalation. Example necron and eldar codexs right now seem to be balanced agaist each other in fluff and the way the codexs are written then how earlier codexs.

Vash1016 (Over a year ago): - delete
Hey Matt! After seeing this week's Necron vs Blood Angels Bat rep...I question anyone who claims that the Necron Codex is balanced, and I can assume the Eldar Codex will only be worse. Id love to see less of these codex's until the other codexs are brought up to the same level, as currently, you would need nearly twice the points to have a batrep that is not a complete washout. My second point is the Canoptek Harvest. It clearly states "1 canoptek Spyder" not unit, not squad, 1 spyder. How is this justified as being 1-3 spyders? PS: you should house rule that is is banned in all friendly games, as it will single handedly take over a game, It is crazy powerful. 3+ , 4 , multi wound... Keep up the good work, excited about the campaign...hope that does not bring out more Necron/Eldar cheesy lists before the rest of us can stand a fighting chance.

Hi Matt, hope you don't mind me asking another question here. This one refers to Steve's latest batrap... "Necrons vs Blood Angels Warhammer 40k Battle Report Gaming with the Mountain Ep 09"

I thought it was a great episode. Maybe because I don't know the rules like the back of hand, I was able to sit back, laugh and just enjoy watching friends having fun a game..

BUT, the comment section was flooded with Canoptek Harvest rule interpretations... of RAW and RAI....

I would love to hear your views on this, now that you've had time to play with the new Necron codex since it's release.

Gamesman (Over a year ago): - delete
Hi matt can you cover on the Youtube channel if the new Codex Eldar :Craftworlds is overpowered and whether or not Games Workshop should finish updating 6th edition codexs like space marine and if armies with formations have an advantage over the old ones that don't. Opinion???

A suggestion on how to get more views for warmachine videos: explain what the spells and abilities do if one is not familiar with the game it can be hard to follow the batreps. Maybe who could do a mini series on how to play warmachine as well?

Hey Matt! What are your thoughts on the Xiphon Interceptor from FW?

Jonathanheironimus (Over a year ago): - delete
Hey Matt!

I am super excited for WarZone Apothis to kick off, and have been trying to spread the word to all the miniwargamers I know.

Have you considered what the miniwargaming website feed is going to look like once these BatReps start rolling? Is there going to be any attempt to organize how they are posted?

I can see how on an ideal case, between 6-8 videos will be posted a day (2 from each Faction Leader). That's going to pile up fast.

Not that this is a huge concern, and don't get me wrong, I am mega excited for all these reports, but I'm just thinking about drowning the homepage in "WarZone Apothis" videos.

Any thoughts?

Hi Matt.

Today (04/29/15), I found the MiniWarGaming channel on Twitch... then suddenly a wild video appeared:

This really made my day... THE BEAT MATT BATT REP DANCE JUST FALLS SHORT!! THIS IS HILARIOUS (If anyone else read this comment, I highly recommend to watch it)

Thanks to all the Mini War Gaming crew for all of your videos, they helped me to step into wh40k. I hope to finish painting the Hive Fleet Alhazred (also my crimson Angels Chapter) and participate in the Warzone Apothis Campaign

Greetings from Mexico.

Hi Matt!

So, I'd like to know why Steve said "don't out me" when Drewski was saying that it was a lie that Steve was bad at English and math (from the most recent "gaming with the Mountain).

Is Steve actually a rocket scientist-poet in addition to being awesome?

Hey Matt, I've been watching more of your videos lately as work has slowed down so i have some free time. I often find myself upset with the comment sections of your necron videos with all the complaining people have been doing lately. I understand the loudest are usually the only ones heard so i just wanted to say that I enjoy all your batraps even the ones with the necrons playing. My question, how do you pick which army you'd like to play during your batraps? is it chosen by the opponent or is it more of a flavour of the month kind of deal?

TheCrook88 (Over a year ago): - delete
Matt Hi

I understand that games workshop is a business. But do you that now models can kill each other so quickly its changing the gane so that people need to put more models on the table. Was happy the eldar codex got better but do you think that all new codexs will be as strong so it turns out that you need more models to make the game longer. It just seems with the combination of tatcial objectives and new rules its slowly becomingg a quick kil leverything game.

Also could look intot he camera really close and say

Hi Matt I've been watching Miniwargaming for four years now and I'm loving the content that you've been putting out! I'm not sure if this would be the appropriate place to make this comment, but there have been a lot of comments regarding how in the Necron Canoptek Harvest formation, only 1 Spyder, not a unit of Spyders, can be brought per Canoptek Harvest. Every time I watch a Necron battle report, it always bothers me about how there are always three Spyders in the formation, when there should only be one.

Thank you so much for putting out awesome content!

Hey Matt, how would a Tau player fit in the open campaign? The Tau are in a small subsector in the Ultima Sector so how fluff wise would they have made it ALL the way to Apothis?
