Auspex shooting gives you a -1 to hit so he should have been hitting on 5s

Josh I know the stacking -LD looks good but getting off that 9inch charge for the raptor's and termenator's is essential and to that goal give them Mark of Khorn and give them Icon of Wrath for the free re roll on all failed charges.

I was going for something closer to the lore (spooky scary) but I will consider it in the future

Hi Josh,
If you want to optimize your alpha strike and keep your army close to the lore why not take a socerer in terminator armor or jump pack with warp time and precience. I use to do that with a squad of terminators full combi-melta so they hit on 2+ and have a really high chance to charge in the same turn.

Yeah I get wanting to be as true to the lore as possible But it's hard to hard roll 9 on 2d6 with out help, Socerer is good for one unit but Icon of Wrath is the best we got for a multi drop assult

Doesn't the auspex ability inherently give you -1 to hit?

Interesting BatRep! I always like it when the Night Lords get some air time.

I agree on the suggestions for a Sorcerer with Jump Pack or in Terminator Armour. I use both to buff and move my Night Lords. Works quite well.

Also, I have tried using Raptors as regular Assault troops and they seldom do what they%u2019re supposed to do. They struggle to do enough damage in close combat to get the enemy running. Now, I equip them with two Meltaguns and send them into a unit I don%u2019t want firing next turn. Could that be a thing for you, Josh?

The big issue is that the Night Lords were only ever meant to be my 30K army. I will probably retire them from 40K when my Mordians are ready

The guest brought an interesting list. Sadly, he fell for the Landraider. Dumping all the shots into a Landraider that has a high chance of being tied up in combat was wasting shots, especially with the Autocannons that are mediocre AT at the best of times.
Still, it was cool seeing an almost pure Primaris list.

Addendum: And of course it is always nice to see fluffy lists instead of cheesy stuff like a billion brimstones and the like.
