Sorry if it was already said but models with move through cover automatically pass dangerous terrain checks. Unless the scenario has special rules overriding the USR

How ridiculously giddy is Matt going to be by the time he's actually in one of these ?

Quirk, just FYI, Headhunters do not need combi bolters. They're BS5 with preferred enemy infantry. It may be nice to have against vehicles if they can hurt it but there are better options.

Headhunters are already super expensive, it'd be better to spend those points on another guy

Also, Tyrant Siege Terminators May fire their Cyclone launchers and their combi-bolters.

Just so you know, the Suspensor Web, the way its written can be considered an On/Off Effect.

Meaning you can opt to fire the Heavy Bolter as Heavy 3 36" OR Assault 3 18" which is why they cost more as an upgrade.

@Lightningsymphony i believe i did any time the combi was also in range of the target, and/or was able to hurt it.

great painting. great armies. Love the locking and unlocking rule set.. Dont think I have seen a report where that is used. Makes a very interesting tactical dynamic

Steve, your Iron Warriors look absolutely awesome. Paint job is great. I can only wish to paint my models as well as yours.

Hey Steve, great job painting your Iron Warriors. Wish I could do as well to paint my army when I get to them.

Armillus Dynat was the commander for most of the campaign, but Alpharius was there (he made the decapitation strike that killed most of the senior command staff at the start of the invasion). Plus, y'know, he's Alpharius. He's everywhere and nowhere, everyone and no one.

ChazSexington (Over a year ago): - delete
Why are people downvoting the fact it was Armillus Dynat that commanded the Alpha Legion at Paramar, and not Alpharius?

Archangel010 (Over a year ago): - delete
Something to Note the Iron Warriors(and Imperial Fists) Have a rule called "The Bitter End" where the opponent can always force a full 6 game turns, rather than rolling for random game length.

ScouseTrev (Over a year ago): - delete
Wow! These armies look amazing - both sides, realy scary. Loving how this looks - great battle guys!

This is exactly what I wanted to see from 30k! Thank you so much!

Natanael (Over a year ago): - delete
Also - Quirk - your chaplain is missing half his crozius. There should be another part of the maul head.

Natanael (Over a year ago): - delete
Sorry mat, Alpharius was not on Paramar. It was Armillius Dynat, one of his captains.

Narfwak (Over a year ago): - delete
Note about Zone Mortalis: technically, you're not supposed to go above 1000 points, but in the interest of having lots of (very pretty!) toy soldiers on the board I can understand wanting to go to 1500. That said, this game does kind of show why they set up the rules that way, as a 4x4 board with that much impassable space gets crowded very quickly with that many dudes.

Props to Steve for reading the rules and only bringing 15-man TacBlobs as you're also not allowed to go above that size in any unit - a rule a LOT of people seem to overlook when building ZM lists!

PS both of your armies are gorgeous! You did a fantastic job with your modeling and painting and should be very proud.

Sir-William-the-Bold (Over a year ago): - delete
Don't forget the initiative test so you can fire at full ballistic skill in zone mortalis!otherwise it was a great game (:

Kaptin-Obvious (Over a year ago): - delete
Those Iron Warriors look so awesome but poor Quirk.

That many bodies with that much fire power/heavy squads would shatter Quirk's basic tactical squads. You need more armour/bodies there buddy.

How it should have happened:
Matt-"...Iron Warriors, being led by..."
Steve-"...me?"

I really like the background info on the battles but I don't always have the extra time (not a problem with this video), is there a way you can make a bookmark for when the armies are described or when the game starts? thanks.

@mredd i can't speak for quirk, but at guy at my local store airbrushes a leadbelcher looking metallic basecoat, then uses a blue clearpaint and airbrushes that over it after.

swampmist1142 (Over a year ago): - delete
Quirk, not on this, but how did you get the RoW to let you take the vets as troops? Was that Chaplain a Delegatus\Preator? I may have missed something, sorry if you explained this already!

steven (Over a year ago): - delete
