Terrain Size?

Post by Loco9443 » Wed Jan 25, 2012 9:39 am

Im look at building some Lord of the Rings terrain to show on my Youtube Channel. Is 6" x 6" a good size for a hill or small set of trees? I am going to try and create a woodland scene so also would this size be good for most gaming tables?

This is just my opinion, but...

Personally, i think 6" by 6" would be more suited to the hill. Maybe it's just me, but it makes more sense to mount the trees on more rectangular (maybe 6-8" by 4"?) boards, it makes it more versatile/movable.

For instance, this could allow you to arrange a length of trees along the board for gaming purposes, or surround the 6" by 6" hill with trees.

But yea, 6" by 6" seems like a good size for most gaming tables (I'm assuming most people play on 2' by 2', or 3' by 2')
