I would definitely be interested. I would love to take a crack at a 3000 point space marine army with my nids.

We could even make it a small apocalypse game if you like.

I think it would be more fun if we kept it themed. It looks like you have about 4000 points of Space Marines (not Chaos or Daemons).

Seeing as how I only have around 3000 points of Tyranid, we could easily have a nice match just with 3000 vs 3000. That would also be a good introductory Apocalypse game.

What do you think of that?

That's fine with me - I just prefer to face a unified foe, so I didn't want to see a mix of Chaos and regular marines.

Now that I have re-read your earlier posts I see you have about 4500 points of Chaos Marines.

It looks like I might be able to field close to 6000 points, so maybe we can throw in Dave's Chaos Space Marines as well (he has at least 1500-2000). Even if he doesn't want to play I'm sure he would still let us use them.

What do you think about that?

This should be an interesting battle too - Chaos vs Tyranid.

What would make a good backdrop story to this? It could be as simple as the Tyranid attacking a Chaos-held planet, or something more...

Ok, it looks like I can field 5,649 points, so there is a good guideline for you.

With the way Apocalypse works you don't have to match up perfectly with points. Instead, the team with less points gets more strategic assets to choose from, which can really tip the balance.

Of course, I could always add more points by putting units in reserve, but that is unpredictable as we don't know if they would get killed soon enough for them to come back in.

In other words, try to keep your force as close to 5,694 points as you can, and it would be best if you had it worked out beforehand.

And yes, normally you only have one strategic asset. We could always make it 2 per side for fun, but it doesn't matter to me.

That's up to you - I now know both 4th and 5th edition rules. 5th edition are better in many ways, but then that might slow us down as they are new.
