I'm putting together some Rough Rider conversions for my Imperial Guard army, and I'm hoping to have them painted for next Saturday. The conversions consist of some Empire Outriders and Bretonnia Knights for the mounts and legs, with Cadian torsos and weapons, with assorted bits to make them more 40K. My question is: What base size should they use?
Here's my dilemma. I have looked around the Internet, and have seen an assortment of bases being used.
Games Workshop uses the square cavalry bases from Fantasy for their pewter Rough Riders, just like the ones in Fantasy cavalry units.
Forge World uses the 40mm Round Bases, the ones Terminators use.
And I've seen plenty of Rough Rider conversions using the 40K bike bases, including some Biker Rough Riders!
I am hoping to get to painting these guys soon, but I can't put them together when they can't stand up! I have enough of all of the mentioned base sizes, so all I need to do is glue them on.
Any thoughts? Pictures to come if anyone adds input!

I'd go for biker bases if you can, but if you cant get them easily enough termies bases work fine

Page 3 big rule book under Bases says that models are supposed to be based on the base they come/came with. If you use other size bases you need to let your opponent know/approve.
Normally riders are on the fantasy horse base so that is what I use. I suppose the biker base is close enough.

A quick Google Images search gives me validation on all three options, with probably an equal amount of usage between each of the three.
Also, Rough Riders Bears? - why didn't I think of that sooner? Oh well.
The problem is that the official model is such an old, outdated kit that no one wants to use them at all, and GW is probably a ways off before they get us some new Rough Riders.
I'm leaning towards the Termie bases, more for stability and looks than anything. Besides, when was the last time we saw a square base for 40K models? (I mean, besides a Chaos Daemons army that can play in both Fantasy and 40K.)
I messaged a friend of mine who works at a GW, and waiting to hear back from him about it.
