What kind of quality would a homemade Stompa have to be? Would cardboard be acceptable or only plastic or equivalent?

There aren't really any guidelines, but you should put effort into making it look like what you are building.

You can try posting a picture of what you are making here, and I can then let you know ahead of time if it is acceptable.

For example this should be okay (once it has a cockpit and is detailed and painted) for homemade - right?
