Hey there.

this year for my birthday I got 5 nobz, lootas/ burnas and the Ork Codex. This has inspired me to start up collecting my own personal WAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! and I was wondering what to get next. I've pretty much decided on either the battle force or assault on blackreach and I was wondering which one would be better for a newer ork player.

My best bet is that you should buy black reach and sell the space marines in it....AN BUY MOR OF DA BOYZ!!

Any ideas or advice as to where I could sell the space marines and wether it would better if I assembled and painted them before selling or just sell them as they come in the box?

Post them on the buy sell and trade part of the forums here. Sell them as are in the box, unassembled and in sprue. Heck I might actually trade you some of my orks for them if youre up to it

Picking up AoBR ans selling the space marines is the best deal for your money... If you are going to ever use the deffkopter, or if you only want to spend half the money (after you sell the marines.) However I would pick up the Battleforce if you are missing a truck and are fine with spending the money. Over the long run you will probably end up owning at least three trucks as you experiment with different lists and find out what works.

I went on ebay and bought the old box set with the smaller truck and the warbuggy for only 65 when I first started. Its a great deal and no one ever hassled me about the size of my puny truck. Of course now I own seven full sized and three clown trucks..... so consider that you warning of the addicion to come with orks.

in my local GW store im lucky enough to have a store manager that does a double set of AoBR orkz for me, i guess its because not many people play orkz!

I picked AoBR because it comes with a HQ and so you can actually play a game haha unless you've already got a HQ then i'd get the battleforce but it comes down to how you think you might play, i'd say battleforce if your gunna play speed freaks, but if you want a green tide sort-of army then i'd go AoBR but if you wanna do something like kan wall, etc, i'd just buy what you wanna get

I just bought AoBR and feel pretty good with the buy. However, I am in danger of going into Space Marines if I can't sell the little blighters.

DeffKopta's from AoBR are the low cost alternative to the current range of expensive metal deffkoptas. Might actually field them for fun.

The Warboss with Power Claw looks awesome.

The Nobs are also pretty good.

I have bought a nob squad and a lootaz squad myself after the purchase. Most likely will buy another lootaz because I was given some store credit. And then I am buying the battle force to get the 20 extra boyz. (combined total of 40 boyz). Warbikes are an added bonus imo.

AoBR if only to get the rulebook.
The battleforce is, ok, though only if you like trukks.
Whereas koptas and nobs can fit most lists.

Use your nob parts to upgrade the AoBR nobs.

If you can not sell space marine, get others to play against you using them.
Or collect marines.

I would start orks just foot slogging to begin with. Battlewagon, kans and trukks need sufficient numbers to work.
