It took me 2 years, but I finally got people interested in playing Rapid-Fire, the WW2 mini combat game.

I now have 6 people with armies and a potential 8 more that could be interested. This is a hard task for small town High River.

One of the players, Fred, is an army veteran. He works at the Legion and I gave him a flyer to give to his friends there. He might have 7 guys interested. (These are included in the potential 8 players.)

If you look in the book Fred loaned you, at the American Section, you'll find some examples of different companies you could build and what those companies can do. Maybe you could make something to counterbalance the other armies.

Yes, but you can create one of your own. Shouldn't be too hard. They'd be classified as elites. Paratroopers.

Already did, though not all paratroopers have to be elite, poor figures are dropped from 36" instead of 24".

Also, say I put points into a MMG. Do I have to do this?

MMG - 5Points
2 regular figures to crew MMG - 3 Points

Or does it mean O get the two guys to crew it already?

It was fun this last Saturday (March 31 2012). We had 4 players and IG used Paratroopers for the first time!

I'll try and get a picture up of my Air drop plan tomorrow.

My list was

9 elite figures, 1 bazooka. - 37 points
9 elite figures, 1 bazooka. - 37 points
M16 Half Track. - 30 Points
M4 Sherman x2. - 110 Points
M3A3 Stuart. - 40 Points
Total 246 points

One sherman and my half track were destroyed turn 1 so I had already lost almost a third of my list and 1/4 of my Anti-Infantry and half of my long ranged anti-tank! Was devestating! To make matters worse I had not factored that in with my air drop, leaving A Company stranded behind Italian lines without support.

The Russians tried to send reinforcements to help silence the guns but were wipped out before reaching the rendevous point. A Company had to silence the gun themselves!

Now if I didn't roll four 1's in a row I would have silenced it and it would have made A Company's sacrifice worth it!
