I'm new to Chaos and would much appreciate any tactics regarding Chaos Space Marines...a match will soon arrive against my Chaos..the armies are: my Chaos Battleforce (15 CSM, 8 Khorne Berzerkerz, 5 Possessed CSM, and a Rhino) vs. a tau battleforce (1 Tau Crisis XV8 Battlesuit, 1 Tau Devilfish APC, 3 Tau Crisis XV25 Stealth Suits and 1 Markerlight Drone, 12 Tau Fire Warriors with 6 Gun Drones and 12 Kroot Carnivores.) I would appreciate any advice

Are you playing Battleforce vs. Battleforce with no other units allowed (meaning neither of you would have an HQ), or are you allowed to add some stuff?

The stuff you'll want if you can add things to your Battleforce for this game are in red. Otherwise it's just what you've got in your Battleforce:

Chaos Sorcerer or Daemon Prince w/ Mark of Slaanesh, Wings and Lash of Submission (only the Daemon Prince gets wings, if you take a Sorcerer no wings required)
8 Berzerkers w/ Skull Champion with a Powerfist
Mounted in rhino (no upgrades ever)
10 CSM w/ Meltagun, Flamer, Icon of Chaos Glory, Champion with Powerfist and Combi-melta
Mounted in a rhino

That's it. Possessed are honestly just terrible. Maybe your friend will allow you to use one of your Possessed as your Sorcerer for the time being.

Yes, it is only battleforce vs. Battleforce..i hope to get a daemon prince soon and some obliterators thanks for the welcoming and the advice, i'm sure the game will be in my favor

I have a couple tips I can give you

plague marines = epic

your troops are much to expensive to be foot slogging. Whenever possible put them in transports

Daemon princes = epic

and obliterators are nice to...

Yeah, daemon princes are beast! And what's the deal with everyone saying that possessed are terrible? I haven't recieved the codex yet so i don't know the random abilities the get

The fact that they're random alone almost makes them not worth taking. But the main thing is the fact that they're so expensive. Possessed are 5 points more expensive than Berzerkers each and (5/6 times) are actually worse at killing than Berzerkers. To top it off, Berzerkers are actually troops too.

Get the Codex ASAP.
