I put together one khorne bloodletter as a musician, and made all of them with round bases, will i be allowed to play the musician bloodletter in tournies, and just play him as a normal bloodletter? Is there a way to play the bloodletters in fantasy without having to change bases? any help is appreciated.

Square bases.
40k doesn't actually specify you have to use round bases.

it is possible to use daemons with circular bases in fantasy via using the lotr movement trays, although these aren't quite the same as the fantasy movement trays, so ask at your club and see if they allow it or not (mine does so that' what i do), otherwise us square bases

You could just make a movement tray specific for it. Wouldn't be too much work, and you could customize it to your specific army list/unit sizes. Get a piece of foamboard and you could do it in like 10 mins.

Really? So could you use say Daemons with square bases in 40K?
Yes, absolutely. There is nothing in 40k which specifies which bases a model must be place on OTHER than they must be mounted on the bases which are provided with the set of minis (or a proper equivalent).
I have a Chaos Daemon army entirely mounted on square bases and I use it in 40k regularly in friendly games and in tournaments, nobody has complained yet.

Hope this clears up some confusion. >>Mars out.

The round bases have the same diameter as the square bases length and width that they should be on. Just throw them on one of the customizable movement trays and it will work fine.

Out of this thread... NOW! Make a custom movement tray using the diamond slot technique and you can get away with just the regular 25mm slotted GW tray doing that if you use them.
I have had people tell me that I could not play because of my bases (square) and (round)when playing 40k with my daemon army.
I bring up the current rules in the 40K hardcover book page 3 “BASES”. They read it passing over the first paragraph quickly. Then fixating on the second paragraph mentioning a scenic base rule. People believe that square bases are scenic bases. This is when they think they have won the argument(Yes it is still an argument because in Games Workshop fashion the rules are not precise). I act surprised and ashamed at interpreting the rule wrong and not the same way as them.
I then ask everyone in the room if a picture from Games Workshop might be better to represent the rule(most agree). I open our codex and turn to page 57 or 67 (page 67 the best with two pictures lol) showing off the square bases.
If they still wont let you play don't blame them. If anyone is to blame it should rest on Games Workshop. People just want to play the round base game that they thought Games Workshop gave to them. I don't blame them. I to feel ripped off having to argue about bases before I even get to play the game with new friends!
