I was into Heavy Gear about 8 years ago, but never took it anywhere and sold off my miniatures .
But I do like the idea of getting into Heavy Gear again, playing on a 4'x4' table with 8 miniatures or less. It is very reminiscent of my early days playing Battletech. Getting into the game will cost you about $40 for a squad of 5 gears.
I think I will pick up the Interpolar war set this month and give it a try at the MWG club.

I don't think DP9 has a problem with MWG carrying DP9 products. I think the question that Matt wants to know is "Will they sell?" "Is there enough of a demand?"
If MWGing does a few videos and battle reports on HG, it probably will.
The problem is that the market for Heavy Gear is not well known and IMHO, that's unfortunate. It looks like a really good game with loads of great background fluff. There are a dozen armies you can field and it costs less than $50 to get into.
yeah, only problem for me is the shipping.. I live in the norther part of Texas, USA. Shipping tends to be around $20 for me, so that's the only reason why I haven't gotten into HGB yet.
But most definitely, if you and some other guys did a few battle reports and set up a demo table in the store, I'm sure it would sell great.
Random question, but do the gears come unpainted? All the photos I've seen only show painted minis..

Yes, they come unpainted and need to be assembled. So you are looking at pinning the arms and torsos in place for durability. But with the advent of rare earth magnets, weapon swapping is a real possibility.
I am getting my minis off of evilbay, and yes, I too am looking at around $20 shipping
just checked the war store..$5.95 for US shipments, but $20.00 for Canada.. I suggest making a P.O box in Buffalo, then ship it there instead, saving yourself $15
**NOTE:** I found a post office near the U.S/Canada Border: 465 Grant Street Buffalo, NY 14213-9998 (716) 883-8032
