It's kind of disappointing the results this month. I guess the other competition really beat this one out. So many of these ones are unfinished, yet last month there was only one or two that weren't finished.
Hopefully next month will be better ^^

CmCF nearly won me just because it was painted but i did resist, and i couldn't tell what his trophy was...I ended up with Zeruel's just because it's simple and clean

Thanks Joe I agonized over that yellow LOL! I started with Iyanden Darksun, washed with gryphon sepia, Then took a 1:1 mix of golden yellow and sunburst yellow and applied thin layers until I had a pretty solid yellow. This is where the agonizing comes in. I wasn't sure if I should wash it or not, do a bunch of battle damage or whatnot. In the end I just left it and will probably come back to it later.

This was a tough one to judge and the two top contenders ended up being very close in my scoring system. I gave consideration to conversions, theme for the month, painting, and things like picture quality. I'll give a break down of 1st, 2nd and 3rd:
1st - CMcF
- I liked the painting of the Warboss and the conversion approach on the chewtoy marine. I thought it fit the theme of the contest. What set it apart was the nice, fiery orange highlights, and that warboss' menacing stare! Congrats CmCF!
2nd - Greywolf
- Greywolf had an excellent entry that taunted the foul devotees of Chaos and as such did an excellent job of conveying the theme for the month. It was really tough to have to give this entry second place.
3rd - Stelladogrocks
- Orks, taking the arms of their enemies, just great stuff!
Honourable Mention:
Chris W: Awesome work! I was not expecting anyone to SCULPT a whole piece for the mini of the month! I was impressed with that, just wish I could have seen the mini painted up!
Zeruel13: Looking like you have a nice clean conversion on your hands there to taunt those Space Puppies! Wish it had seen paint!

Alright boys and girls, so closes another month of great entries. CMcF you are up next. Be sure to do a write up of your theme and pm me so that I can get the April thread up and running. Congrats to all and the medals will be passed out shortly! Greywolf
