GBXVII: Poseidon's Tau Bunker Corner: **COMPLETE!!!**

Post by Poseidon » Wed Jul 14, 2010 10:58 pm

So I'm starting way earlier than last month but i dont have much yet. the pictures are of the base and i'm using two pill bottles; one for the ion cannon turret and one for a lookout tower. It's going to be modular just like my relay station. i've got it all planned out in my head so we'll see if i can make my vision come to life!

You can use pill bottles for countless things when it comes to terrain.

Well I'm sorry to say i let everyone down on the GB deadline. I've been doing a lot of running around and just haven't had time to complete it. I am farther than my first post but nowhere near enough to post a completed set of photos.

HOWEVER!!! Since ViRuS and I are the source of terrain at one of our local game stores It will be completed for sure. I will be posting the finished product on my WIP when its done.

Thanks for the encouragement guys! I'll be in on the group builds of the future!

I have the inside detail of the bunker mostly done. its going to be a bunker built into rocki still need to shape the walls, outside rock face, and put basing materials on before i prime it.

Ideas are welcome! now would prolly be the best time to get some opinions in as i'm at the beginning steps to the build. Thanks for looking!

YAY UPDATE!!!
So i'm almost completely done building it. All i have left is let the PVA glue dry and tomorrow i will touch up the cracks and bumps. then i have a water based primer and rock is not hard to paint. i should be done with plenty of time to do some detail painting and transfers.

Here's where i'm at:
I forgot to put my towers on when i added the hallways but I incorporated them into the upper level and i think i like it better that way anyway. i got some IG and Ork bitz on the front like they couldn't make it up the bunker  .

This is a pic with a modular piece from last months build. It will all be interchangeable! :D

DUDE! Awesome! Really cool how your incorporating it into your last build so you could possibly make one big huge board that's all conected. 8)

I like the idea and can't really think of much to add. Maybe a supply crate or two with some spare tau guns or helmets. You could add flechette dischargers to the front face of the bunker wall somehow. Who knows what they look like. :|

Keep it up dude, you should be able to paint this thing by tonight!

Looks like black glass the way the paint is; kind of neat really.
