Attention all Imperial Guard regiments near the Nova Armenian Sector. We have received word from Inquisitors Marius Rex and Helynna Valeria that there is a full scale civil uprising in the sector.

All available regiments should set course for the Nova Armenian Sector immediately and quell this uprising by any means necessary!

This is General Ulysses Coehorn of the 27th Geldern Regiment, we should arrive in sector within a few days. We received word of an uprising yesterday in the Nova Armenian Sector and we have been tasked to quell the uprising by any means necessary. This should all be pretty routine, get your gear in order and fleet wide drills will be held every 6 hours until we arrive.

We are only a short warp jump away from our target, so say your prayers to the Emperor men.

<< Attention all hands! Prepare for Realspace entry! >> Lord Commissar Jenssen bellowed over the comms. Both the ship crew and soldiers scuttled to their seats and buckled themselves in. They had been travelling through the warp for only a short while, but everyone seemed eager to return to Realspace. Many of the soldiers were fresh from the barracks, never having seen combat. The death rate in the 27th Geldern regiment was a bit higher than most Imperial Guard regiments, but thanks to inspiring speeches from both General Coehorn and Jenssen the men were sure that they would face a different fate.

It was only moments before the fleet left the Warp, arcs of warp energy still crackling across the hulls of the ships, the fleets navigators wasted no time in getting their bearings.

Coehorn sped towards the CNC of the fleets capital ship, a massive Emperor Class battleship called Ignus Solaris. As he entered the CNC, the fleets admiral and Jenssen were having a heated discussion with the ships navigator. << Where in the Emperor’s name are we?! This isn’t Izai! We are in the middle of nowhere! >> The admiral bellowed. The navigators replied in a calm monotonous manner: << My lord, I have confirmed our position with the Astronomican as well as the other navigators in the fleet, we are indeed, at the planet Izai. >> Before the admiral could respond Coehorn interrupted the conversation. << You mean to say that both Izai and the naval base at its moon have just disappeared? >> << Correct. >> The faces of the assembled men grew pale. What could have caused such a catastrophe? After a few seconds the Admiral composed himself. << Send out a message on all imperial frequencies and see if we get any response from the sub-sector Vigilai, an entire sub-sector can’t just disappear. >>

The communications officers went to work straight away. It was not long before they realized the situation they were in. Their 3 days in the warp had been 2 months in real time. Scattered signals were coming in from throughout the sector. Few if any planets were under Imperial control and both xenos and heretics ran rampant throughout the entire Nova Armenia sector. Orders from Segmentum Command were clear, but this was no longer an uprising, this had turned into a full scale war. If they wanted to make a difference in the sector, they would need more men and equipment.

The decision was made to split up the fleet, part of it set a course for sub-sector Axile and the rest would stay in sub-sector Vigilai and try to evacuate the planet Kezvo.

Planet fall has been made on both Chantilix and Kezvo, although it was costly. Hopefully the efforts of the relief forces does not come in vain.

This is General Ulysses Coehorn to all Imperial forces still loyal to the Emperor, we have been sent here to help save Nova Armenia from anarchy. The sector has been overrun by heretics, xenos and xeno sympathizers. Only with faith in the Emperor and by honoring our duty to protect humanity against all threats, both from within and without can we hope to achieve victory.

Our main priority is to evacuate as many assets as possible. We will try to evacuate civilians when we can. Any help would be greatly appreciated, any opposition will be crushed without mercy.

We ask all Imperial Commanders to evacuate their forces as soon as possible. We ask all those loyal to the Emperor to join us so we might stand a chance at taking on the Whitestone fortress.
