hi

im fairly new to magic, having only started in october. Im fairly used to the game, and have started getting into the older cards as well

i recently bought the knights vs dragons duel deck. These decks are already fairly good (in my eyes), but i was wondering, can they be made better? So does anyone have any suggestions on how i could improve upon them (what cards i could add etc)

well, the both decks are very um... Single based, not many mutiples of cards, so your less likely to get the cards your after.

if your wanting to upgrade the Knight side of the deck

I'd recommend:
4 Mirrian Crusaders
4 Knight Exemplar
4 Honor the Pure

and... well I'm not sure on beyond that, lol you'd be basically looking for Low casting cost Knights that have good abilities, Avoiding anything that costs more then 3.

I'd actually drop the entire Green half of that deck.

For the Dragons:
I'd add 3 more of the Dragonspeaker Shamans
Add more burn spells, like Brimstone Volley... Drop the Goblin creatures that do nothing

and condense what dragons you do like, Drop the ones with no abilities.
Potentially pick up some of the Dragons from Innistrad (especially the Firebreathing one from Dark Ascension!)

Not sure they are standard. In other forms cards all need to be powerful.

As two sets to play against each other usually duel decks are well balanced.

Ruby amulet for dragon decks are scary, with dragonspeaker shaman, makes em as fast as elves they do cost a bit though :S i suggest maybe 1/2 of them if oyur on a bugget.
