M14 Prerelease

Post by Nonebutone » Tue Jul 09, 2013 12:25 pm

Whos going and what cards are you looking forward to out of it?

I've got 2 diffrent events this upcoming weekend, the new slvers look cool, but i doubt they will be a viable option in a sealed event with how few are actually printed.

I'll be attending one, with the goal of getting a few decent rares and waste a few hours. It'll be my last event, so why not.

I won't be unfortunately, I have far too much work to get through that I haven't done...

Why will it be your last event m14?

College starts in August, and money will be diverted elsewhere. I don't think there's a card shop where I'll be going to school that plays Magic (I think a pokemon league is down there though). I may get in on a core set prerelease in future years, but that's getting more cards which I don't have space for. Oh and my piggies need saving for so I can finish my Arkadius list.

I didn't pull amazing rares. The Ooze that exiles stuff for life and +1/+1 counters was my best pull. I also got the sliver that grants flying, tuning fork that copies triggered abilities, the 2/2 flying haste that comes back to hand from grave if an instant or sorcery was cast, Ogre battledriver, and Goblin Diplomats. The pool screamed for me to go red/green, in what turned out to be control. On the day I went 1-4 netting a single prize pack which got me Silence and a foil white creature that is Blind Obedience on a creature without extort. I was also able to trade for a good number of things as well.

I likewise got ho-hum cards, nothing that relivent or fun, Ended up going Green/Red day one just due to the cards i opened... (Only creatures were green/red) Day 2 i went Green/Blue, which i thought was a rather good deck, but once more did ho-hum in the final score.

Overalll a kinda blegh Pre-release
