Painting "Slimy" Armor

Post by Rust » Wed Oct 03, 2012 6:08 pm

Well, the buzz leaking about the new Chaos Codex means I'll likely be scratching a Nurgle itch (and yes, the itch is infected. This is Nurgle...) and picking up a Typhus to lead a Cultist Heavy Zombie army.

I have an idea on how I want Typhus and his troops to look, but I'm not sure how it would ultimately turn out so I'm looking for some advice/help.

I was thinking a Ushabti Bone base with a Green Glaze and Wash might help give a nice "slime" feel. I'm by no means a painting master, but I'm just trying to see if my line of thinking is on the right track.
"Better destruction than bondage."
"So says the slave to the free man."

you could use a gloss to make it shine like a living organ, you would not be able to use it on the whole mini but on spots you want to look like puss or slim coming out paint it how you want then gloss it to give it this organic look, look at some blood on the GW vampires they ad gloss to give it a shine. here is an example
