I decided to get an airbrush setup this weekend what is the difference between the grex02 and 03 besides one is side feed and the other is a top gravity feed? is the set a good deal?

I couldn't find pricing on either set but it seemed the only difference is the side or gravity fed. Go for gravity fed and the smallest needle size you can. Looks like they go down as low as .2mm.
Besides all that I think you could get a different airbrush and get better results from it. It's hard enough to paint a small mini with a big airbrush as it can tend to get in the way a bit. Those grex's have a big trigger which could get in the way and you wont be able to see the mini.

I am looking at getting my first airbrush as well. After a lot of research i have settled on getting the Badger Renegade Krome. MSRP is $189 but can be found online at places for $115-120, I found one place in the states i can have shipped to me for $127.
This comes with two tips and two needles which is almost like getting to complete airbrushes as you can do larger painting and fine detail with what is in the box.
As far as the Grex is concerned i do think the only difference is the feeding and like blue said the top feed would be the best. Top feed have less clogging and build up issues then the other methods.
The grex are a relatively new airbrushes compared to the more common brands. this means there is no where near as much information available. If you do get a grex brush i would love to hear your opinion. but I would suggest going with a traditional style airbrush if you plan to do any detail work.
