I don't like numbers, it makes me think of all the stuff I don't have painted. I prefer to grab a model or squad, splash paint on it and call it done, then pick another and repeat the process. Otherwise it would be overwhelming.
Let's just put it this way. for my biggest army, Imperial Guard (I think, my marines are HUGE too) I have 7 super heavies and a warhound titan. I also have tons of non super heavy tanks, sentinels, A ton of Cadians, A bunch of Catachans, a Lot of Steel Legion, A lot of Mordians, a handful of Vossys, and about 30 Death Korps of Krieg (with most of the special characters they have released)

The progress tracker is for people that like moving that peg up to the next slot, y'know? Yeah it can seem daunting when you have sooo much in front of you, but when you start seeing the result of your labor, then it gets exciting to get more and more of it done, y'know?

1st Army: Eldar (Space Marines) Current Goal: 1000 pts -Models owned for this goal = 100% -Models Assembled for this goal = 100% -Models Painted for this goal = 100% Total time frame ( Dec/04-Feb/05 )
a few conversions for this one, all assembled and lots of painting.
2nd Army: Ultramarines (Space Marines) Current Goal: 2600 -Models Owned for this goal = 100% -Models Assembled for this Goal = 98% -Models Painted for this goal = 90% Total time frame ( Nov/08 - July/09 )
3rd Army: Orks just assembled 100%
Now for the next army what should i pick, either Necrons, or Tyranids? both are pretty cool, but im leaning towards Necrons.

2nd Army: Warriors of chaos Goal: 2500pts -Models owned = 100% Models Assembled for this goal = 95% -Models Painted for this goal = 20%
3rd Army: Khador Goal: 750pts(by current rules) -Models owned = 10% -Models Assembled for this goal = 10% -Models Painted for this goal = 1 I really should get working on my 3rd army

Some people have more than that. A number have been doing this for so long that they have armies entirely of pre 4th-ed models and weapons. Some have 4 armies, 5, 8, 10 armies. Some even have multiple armies of the same race just to have different chapters or legions or factions.
Some people are just crazy

If I didn't have a life I'd be one of them. But with a job, wife and three kids I'm lucky I still get to do anything in regard to this hobby!
Finally got back into working on the Death Guard... Hopefully I'll get all those 7 Terminators finished by the end of the week. And then I can get on those last 7 plague marines to get my assembled/converted rating up to 100%.
