Hey Miniwargaming! I've been watching your youtube videos for a while now, admiring your work and when I stumbled on your demo videos for this game I couldn't beleive my eyes. I was thinking of coming up with a squad game of my own but I saw this one and simply smiled at how perfectly even your beta is (not only that but I had no idea you were in Welland when I visit there all the time from Hamilton). Anyways, about the factions. This kind of faction is pretty common, and for good reason; with any great purging of the world you can expect some god fearing crusaders chanting some shattered and now hopelessly insane fanatics into combat. A cool twist to make these guys unique though would be that they don't want to survive but finish the job God started and wipe everyone else out. A special rule that may be way overpowered (can be nerfed) is that they don't have to roll to flee until 50-75% of their army is destroyed. No minis up in Ottawa with me so I play tested with multi coloured christams rolos and was pretty sweet. Awesome job.

Referring to my earlier comment, and addressing something I only noticed might cause some confusion until after I posted it, these zealots who plan on killing everyone else don't kill each other because they'll gladly kill themselves once all the other stubborn things that don't want to die are gone.

I just finished reading your fluff and loved it. You mentioned that Shield had held on to some of the old tech and may have recovered scientists, doctors and the like so maybe (big maybe) you could have a unit that fills the role of a battlefield medic or someone who was able to somewhat repair the damaged teleporters, able to use them for (no longer able to go as far as before of course) almost deep striking squads. This would be a potentially fun and high tension causing ability when used in a game based on getting behind cover.

I see the possibility to almost mix the game style of anima tactics, a small skirmish based game. I would suggest that you would have just two basic figure selections. A character selection witch has special characters in each faction, and a troops core choice with several basic character choices. An allignment option could be good to like in anima tactics for the special characters or leaders. This would play out with Shield since they have different views.
I have a high threshold for other peoples pain.

[quote="Maikacir"]Hmm.. I was wondering if you guys could make a description on how the figurines would look like? I mean, like "The Shield", are they going to be as heavy armoured as the Space marines in 40k? if yes - would space marines figurines be a good alternative, until you come up with your own figurines(if you do?)?
The reason why I'm asking this, is that I really want to try this game out - but I don't have any 40k figurines (I mostly play Warhammer Fantasy and Mordheim :D ).
So I have to go out and buy some figs, before I can test the game - but I don't really just wan't to waste money on figs that wont really work as the faction they were ment to representate.[quote="Maikacir"]

I think epic duck studios will probably come up with something.
