Help with Legion Modles.

Post by Damn Lucky » Sun Jul 05, 2009 6:16 pm

I want to add a Winged Hive Tyrant to my 40k army but do not like most convertions useing the pewter hive tyrant. I want to do better.

So I want to convert a legion of ever blight modle. Witch of these two modles is larger/Closer to the size of a normal Hive Tyrant.

I'm thinking it's the Angelius I want but not 100% sure. Thank you.

I like the Angelius more but you're going to have your work cut out for you either route.

Good luck!

The Seraph is shorter and thinner than a Hive tyrant and forget the Angelius, too tall, too thin.

Why forget the Angelius? If it's Taller then a Hive tyrant then that works and makes up for being thinner.

I'm not mixed the two kits together, I'm just doing some arm swaps. I just need something that size wise is close enought to a Hive tyrant to not screw with true LOS.

If it's taller then a hive tyrant, then that means it will probly be harder for it to get a cover save. Witch is good because it means I will not gain any unfair advantage.

=)

I was accualy worried that the Angelius was SHORTER then a Hive tyrant! If it's taller then that means you just helped me make sure this plan is going to work! lol

Should be a Easy enough conversion, just have to use my pile of left over plastic fex scything talons and a pinning drill. Maby Green Stuff a more Tyranid like Carapace onto it.

if your a decent sculptor with green stuff, try using that on the Angelus to make it more "nid-dish" as it may look a tad out of place

Making nid carapace is pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

Seraph looks much more nid-esque. add some left over spines and bitz from your other nids and he should do just fine

I've seen both side-by-side, and I have to tell you., the Angelius and the other one are the same size. Roughly.
I'm self-medicated!
Live your life out loud and hope someone will hear you.
