A-nyways :P
So yeah, I've looked into the factions, and it's probably going to be the Legion.
Any suggestions on what to get once I pick up the Warpack?

Alright, fair enough.
I figure it hasn't been locked because it is stickied....
Can stickied threads even be locked?

I believe they can, there is a stickied and locked thread in the Warhammer Fantasy section.

Yeah, I'm actually thinking of starting a Cryx army as apposed to starting 40k 'nids.

Cryx is sooooooo good. Bane Thralls for life
I fall into a dark hole
And I can't come out
Do you know if Merlin did exist
Or Frodo wore the ring
Did Corum kill the gods
Or where's the wonderland
Which young Alice had seen
Or was it just a dream
I knew the answers
Now they're lost for me

Good to hear! I like them because they seem like the CSM/DE/'Nids/'Crons of the W40k world (Okay what can I say\, I like evil! ) I was also thinking of starting 'nids, but these are more apealing, for obviouse reasons (company wise   )

Depends on your definition of explosive. A khador battlegroup with nothing but berserkers, destroyers and mortar crew could qualify as explosive. Cygnar is more along the 'shocking' line, cryx are zombies, and menoth is the steampunk version of the sisters of battle/salamanders :P .

I think the trollbloods could be explosive, as well as skorne.

Khador is known for its big inaccurate weapons yes and can be HUGE with explosions, especially with Harkevich giving every destroyer a second shot a turn. But a more used strategy is a slow moving, almost impenetrable wall that when it gets into combat, usually is too strong for the opponent.

Cygnar is definitely Shocking or can be a quick strike force with the right caster/jack line, but you will mostly see a lot of electric weapons mixed with melee jacks (I.E. Storm Infantry with a StormClad). Nowadays I'm seeing a few more gun-based units because of the addition of Kara Sloan and even the Morrowan units are coming out with the release of Wrath and Constance Blaze.

Cryx is alittle more than zombies, but not too difficult to work with, Mainly trying to mess with you enemy's tactics by lowering stats and removing specific plays, whilst walking either quickly or slowly with your force. Very little shooting, a lot of good assaulting and magic. I mainly enjoy the fact that in turn one, a good cryx magic force can have crippling spells on the enemy before their turn even begins, Arc Nodes are abundant in this army.

Protectorate of Menoth is known to be somewhat between Cygnar and Khador in defense, as they have 1 more armour than the standard cygnar set but less than the 20 of Khador. They are also very well known for the flame units and a lot of base fire attacks that can mess with a horde strategy by setting your opponent on fire (believe me, it's ruined a lot of my plans... darn fire...)

Retribution of Scyrah is a good army if you are very into tactics and strategy, because they aren't a force that is focusing on assault, magic, or shooting, it has a lot of each, since all the jacks have bot a good shooting weapon and good assault stats. I play them a lot now as they are my 4th Warmachine army and downright one of my favorites. If you want to mess with a basic plan and force your opponent into doing what you want, than a magic force is good. If you want a quick assassination, a Mage Hunter army is perfect. If you want to just run forward and slash their heads off, Dawnguard ftw. It is all about preference with the Retribution.

Warmachine, in a post.
