Feralgeist, Mountain King, and Whelps

Post by m14 » Sun Mar 10, 2013 10:37 pm

Hey guys!
So I'm having a bit of a conundrum regarding the Feralgeist and the interaction of the rules. So we all know that a Feralgeist can inhabit a gargantuan, and if another exists when a beast inhabited by one dies it enters the newly freed beast. Mountain King sheds whelps when damaged. Feralgeist controlled beasts cannot be healed, but what about if a Mountain King controlled by Feralgeist eats whelps that were shed previously? Whelps say the beast heals D3 per whelp eaten. Since MK isn't being healed, it would work, and it isn't being forced in order to eat the whelps. I want to get your input on the matter. I'm pretty sure based off the exact wording that I have the right idea, but in the event that I do not, I would like to know how it really works.

I think your answer may have been right in your question ;)

Also, I believe warbeast loose Faction status when inhabited by the Feralgeist, and Whelps are Friendly Faction.

Even if they were shed by the same model? Even if they can't be used for healing, they're still great for blocking lanes to various models.

Healing is healing. It doesn't matter if the model heals itself, or is healed by someone else. If the MK isn't allowed to be healed while he's Feralgeisted, nothing in the game can possibly put boxes back on his grid.

Unfortunately the plan I had thought of has been put to rest. Feralgeist can only enter living models, and a Feralgeist turns a models it enters into an undead model; therefore, no one Feralgeist leaves and one enters.
