So weak but loving it

Post by Dante The Dark Angel » Fri Mar 01, 2013 10:26 am

Hi all, so a few months ago I started warmachine and Khador, and finally have my direction on it, and am all set to have a summer of expansion for them. However, with the discovery of a LGS in my area that plays and sells warmahordes I submitted to tempatation and bought the trollbloods battlebox. While my focus in the coming months will be Khador centered and Troll expansion will be slow, I'm looking for some ideas on how to expand from the battlebox. I'm looking to run a beast brick, and am wondering where to start. I hear good things about eDoomshaper, and I like the Dire Troll Mauler and Pyre troll.

Thanks for the help!

Heavy Warbeast kit is a must and a steal if you magnetize them. The other light trolls aren't a neccessity, but can do just fine.

After this, I'd go for a unit of Krielstone Bearers or Fennblades
Honor I do not seek, but a worthy death must be earned

MULG!!!!!
I fall into a dark hole
And I can't come out
Do you know if Merlin did exist
Or Frodo wore the ring
Did Corum kill the gods
Or where's the wonderland
Which young Alice had seen
Or was it just a dream
I knew the answers
Now they're lost for me

The pMadrak beast brick is one of my favorite Troll lists.

PMadrak
>Mulg
>Earthborn
>Axer and/or Mauler/Pyre/Slag
Kriel Stone Bearer
Janissa
Champ Hero

This is what I run at the lists core. Surefoot and Rock Wall give a a DEF 15-20 ARM 20-23 brick. Feat let's you chew through infantry and you've got the muscle to crack hard cases. Throw a brick at 'em!

Thanks for the help, I really like the look of that pMadrak list, so I'll work on building that up, and I think I'll look into the doomshapers as well. Would a runebearer also work with that list, to help offset Madrak's low fury?

Wow, yes! He's actually an auto include in my pMadrak lists. Surprised I left him out. Good catch! ;)
