I recently got back into playing 40k after a few year hiatus. It all started because while browsing youtube I stumbled upon a Banter Batrep and remembered how fun 40k is.
I've been lurking this forum, as well as posting/lurking in a few other wargaming forums, and decided it was time to sign up. Besides, there are ribbons to be earned here.
If anyone has seen my posts on other forums (either under martian_jo or mattguittar), they know I can get a bit wordy. I don't post often, but when I do I tend to ramble a bit.
I collect Space Marines, Orks, Tyranids, Imperial Guard, and Necrons. I bought some bits years ago to make a Genestealer Cult army but never got around to it.
I own about 8000 pts of Space Marines. A lot of the old RT and 2nd edition models as that was when I first got into the game. Over the last couple months I've stripped the paint off of them all and have begun repainting them.
My Nid army is 90% assembled and painted, 50% based. About 5k pts last time I checked, though the models I have are mostly 3rd ed.
Necrons used to be 2500 though I admit I haven't checked out the new codex.
My ramshackle Ork horde is close to 2k owned, but I've told myself I'm not going to start on assembling them until I get my SM army painted.
I sold off all my IG tanks years ago, so now all I really have is about 60 men with flashlights.
There. I think that's a pretty good introduction so I'm gonna trail off...

well if your in Canada, I'd say the best is a concentrated cleaner called simple green.
leave your models in there overnight (more or less depending on paint) then use warm water (temperature doesn't matter, just feels better on my hands than hot or cold XD ) and an old toothbrush to clean it off. (works best on metal models, but works well on plastic and resin aswell)
