So hey I'm kinda new to wargaming compared to some of you more seasoned gamers. I've been at this for a year now and I'm only 13. I have a rather large IG army and a small force of necrons. I have one question right now about my necrons. I have 5 shield lychguard and wanted to know if I should get more. Right now I want 5 more shields and 5 warscythes. Anyt tips would be nice to. Thx in advance to anyone who answers

Hey there, welcome to MWG Sierk. As for your question, you'll probably be better off posting that in the Necrons section. You may be lucky enough to get a Necron player check this thread out, but if you post it in the actual Necron section you'll definitely get a tonne of good advice.

If I were you I would pick up another box of them at lower poitn games 5 is a good number, but at higher point levels you will be running 7-10 of them I have only even seen 1 list where someone ran 2 squads of 6 lychguards... andd to be honest I find that 1 squad of 7-10 works is much more effective
just as a little side note, ALWAYS have a res orb with your lychguards when 3 of them die in a single turn and then 3 more get back up, you will be loving your life
Edit: forgot to mention, I would just go for sword and boards (hyperphase swords and dispersion shields) with the lack of a good transport for lychguards, warscythes are almost useless. They are so easy to kill when they have warscythes, and since they move so slowly you might not get into combat with them. with Sword and boards you get that 4+ inv save, which makes them survive much longer and take a lot more hits, at the sacrifise for 2 strength.
Zero have you noticed theres been a lot of new DE/Necron players recently?...

Welcome from another newbie isolated from the lower 48 as well. My son is 14 and just got into WH and necrons as well. He just put together lynchguard, but was dead set on the warscythes. I have no idea why.
