Hello, this is the 4th warhammer miniature i have ever done, previous to this i have been painting airfix miniatures for about 3 years. This was a real joy to paint, and i tried to make it as accurate as the GW specification, adding my own touch here and there.

Did you read "The found friend" or something like that (I read it in French)? It's a book wrote by Fred Uhlman. I am speaking of that book because Konrad (Conrad in French) and Von Carstein (Von Hohenfel in my book) are present in your title.

Anyway, I like your mini, You painted it so well, scary. In front of this light, we ask ourself "who does he want to kill ?"^^

Though this book you speak of sounds interesting, i am afraid i have never heard of it,

The mini is actually named as "Konrad Von Carstein" by games workshop, they have a miniature line called "Vampire counts", The story behind these miniatures is that the "Von Carstein Family" Were a line of people tainted by an evil curse which made them vampires, so there are several figures with the name "Von Carstein" such as Manfred, Vlad, and isabella,

I hope i could provide you with a bit of help, and thanks for liking my mini :D
