Rasta Tail-Spike Blood Bowl Skaven Star Player

Post by Cookie » Tue Apr 07, 2009 8:55 am

Another blood bowl star player, this time from my Skaven team, this whole team I was experimenting with NMM techniques, I think I got somewhere I was happy with by the end.

In case anyone is woindering, the EA on the base is a skill (Extra Arms... duh...) I gave the model when using it as a Gutter Runner at a tournament last year, I haven't got round to covering it up again yet as haven't played with the team since.

Good work on the mini ;). Nice try on the NMM. I'm also still working on that technique.

Thanks, my main motivation for having a go at NMM was that I got fed up with getting bad results using GW metallics. I think the gold (Bestial brown base, working up through snakebite leather, vomit brown and bleached bone to nearly skull white) worked a lot better than the silver.

I've now swapped back to try get over my dislike of metallics, I can now get reasonable results with metallic silver but struggle with gold...

You might want to start with tin bitz for gold. then highlight it with shining gold and then highlight it with burnished gold. As a last highlight mix some mithril silver through the burnished gold. When all's done, you might give it a wash with devlan mud.
